had idea on willows power, thread 🙂 who do you think would win
glory or dark willow 😀 :: vampire whould glory have a chance 😀

Hmm..... tough one. I'm inclined to say dark Willow myself (I'm going to assume that we are talking about JUST Glory here, not Ben as well). The only reason I can really say this is just because of the huge amount of power Dark Willow had. I mean, as far as I can remember, Glory was really strong and could suck out peoples' brains right? Nothing really mystical wise. I think that because Willow had SO much power (and a fair amount of strength as well) she would have been able to defeat Glory.

This is, under the assumption that Glory wasn't immortal.... if she is, then my guess is Willow would somehow trap her for all eternity.

I like Katie would be inclined to say Dark Willow too. When Glory and Willow had that show down after Glory took Tara's brain (or whatever it was) Willow managed to put up a good fight and did seem to have some (even if it was a little bit) impact on hurting Glory.

When she became Dark Willow she had major juice, plus an extra year of learning the craft behind her. I just think that Glory's strength would mean nothing against Willows vengence.

I guess I would be the one to dissagree here. I think it would be a close fight, providing that the fight took place in Buffy's demension and not in Glory's, otherwise Glory would crush her in a matter of seconds.

Now this would be why I think Glory would win. First off, we saw that after Glory brain-drained Tara, Willow was pissed. For all Willow knew, there was no way to reverse the affects. So when she went after Glory we saw about.. I would say a good 70-80% of what Willow was capable of as a witch. And remember, that Willow ran out of power VERY quickly in her fight against Glory. Which afterwords, Glory brushed off like it was nothing. Sure, it hurt her real bad but she recovered from it at a very rapid pace. Her second two spells didn't even have an effect on Glory.

and even after Willow finished her assault on Glory, Buffy came in and glory was still strong enough to take the both of them on at once. I think that if Glory had any idea that Willow's attack would have been so powerfull she wouldn't have gave her the chance to use her attack.

and even if Willow powered, physically, to fight Glory, like she did Buffy, Glory would still win. Why? Well let's take a look at what we saw between the fight between Willow and Buffy then the fights between Glory and Buffy, Buffy was able to stand up for herself when fighting Willow, not so much with Glory. And during all the fights with Buffy, Glory was just messing around with her, she never really went at her with everything she had. The only time she arguably did, was in "The Gift", but Glory was brain-drained by Willow leaving her at an extremely unfocused state, which greatly hindered her fighting ability. Not to mention by the time Glory was getting serious, Buffy had already hit her a good couple of times with that troll GODS hammer/wrecking ball.

This is a tough one...a dark sorceress vs a Hell God.

In any case it would be a close call, I'd say. I'm going to say Glory however, the only reason why is because Glory is immortal, she can't be killed.

But...if Glory was continously changing into Ben, the minute she changed into Ben...Dark Willow could easily dispatch of her.

It could go either way, really.

I'd have to say dark willow. Think what willow did in season five to glory. after tara was brain sucked she did SOME damage and drained of power quickly as people said. dark willow was obviously more powerful, and could last for longer and most probably could suck the power from glory in some way. Also willow transported her into the woods , dark willow could most probably control where she transports glory...perhaps in a volcano or something...that would kill her.

Another way she could kill glory is use the same spell as in SOmething Blue. where anything she said comes true. This would'nt need much power, as if willow could do it in season 2, dark willow could most definately do it. She could say 'Glory should be killed' and it would happen.

therefore Dark Willow would win.

i would have to say that dark Willow would win because in series 5 when she didnt have loads of power Willow managed to hurt Glory a little bit.now imagine Willow against Glory when shes got all that power and is totally juiced up, Willow would beable to knock her down in a second, i mean she did nearly destroy the world. and if Glory is immortal then Willow would beable to put her in some sort of wierd dimension or something.plus she has all that extra experience and knowledge of witchcraft... basically i think that Willow would kick her butt.

Yeah, I honestly don't think Willow would stand a chance.. Glory is a god. Sure Willow is strong, but she's not that much stronger than Buffy, and Glory sure was...

Willow. Anyone remember her seriously hurting Osiris after Tara went down? And that was before she had reached her peak of power.

I would say Willow, I mean she was able to hurt Glory, and keep her at bay for a bit, and that was just because Tara had her mind sucked, this time Tara was dead, Willow was beyond mad and she completly gave into that power, if she was able to hurt Glory as a powerful witch she probably could have defeated her as the uberpowerful witch she was at the end of season 6!

Willow for sure... Lets not forget, Willow wasnt beaten with strength, Xander got through to her heart. What was Glory gonna do say "Willow I love you"? Willow was extremely powerful, like someone said before, look what she did to Osiris.

dark willow went beyond anger... she was running on pure fury.... if willow never tookthe powers from giles.... she would have been unstopable..... kick the crap out of glory.

Dark Willow. She pretty much killed Osirus and that was only tapping into the power she had. Then she got more. Also, in 'Chosen,' Willow became a Goddess, so she had that power. The spell of pure light (The Scythe spell) just unlocked it in my eyes.
And the thing is, when she was against Buffy, her powers were limited due to Anya's magickal protection spell. So with all her power, she would kill Buffy like that... so I say Willow would kick Glory's ass. 😛.

I don't think that was actually Osirus, It was just like an intermediate agent - right?

Firstly, we don't know that she killed Osiris.
Secondly, who said she became a Goddess after the Spell?
She tapped into some huge Mojo but to my knowledge, no one of intelligent standing said she had transformed into a Goddess.

See, my thoughts on D.Willow vs Glory are thus.
Willow hurt Glory, but Glory was 'unkillable'. If there was a Magical way to defeat Glory, then the Watchers Council would have known it, they would have been aware that someone extremely powerful and magically proficient could have done her in, as it stood Glory's only weakness was Ben. We still don't know what caused Glory to turn to Ben and Vice Versa(cause we saw Glory extremely weak so it couldn't be fatigue) so ultimately my thoughts would be the same. D Will could hurt her, more than most, but the only one who could kill her was Ben...by dying.

According to some book I read, apparently, Willow had an "ascended moment" when she performed the scythe spell. She may have had the power of a godess, but only for that small period of time. On the actual topic, I do have to go with Dark Willow. She would win the fight, not by killing Glory, but by wearing her down so much. As we saw when Willow fought Giles, she can heal herself (not sure to what level) but after a while Giles tired, yet Willow almost decimated the shop, and could still go. Dark Willow is also clever, so she would go for Ben and end up killing Glory in the process.

What book, Cuz I don't think she actually became a Goddess. It was just something Kennedy said, Like it was just an opposite to Dark Willow - and she wasn't a devil (Or whatever the opposte of a goddess is).

Also Dark Willow was also invinsible, Warren stuck a axe in her back and she just pulled it out!
