How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? It was just beautiful. That was an amazing moment, although it made me sad to see Darla die

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end? If they were both human at one point then yes. Hell, if they're vampires then that's fine too

What made you like the 'ship: Nothing really... I'm not a big fan of them(ask B). But I think if Darla had actually been able to live as a human, it could have worked and been good.

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? Very shocked and surprised... That's one of the OH MY GOD moments in Angel for me.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end? If she had been given another chance as a human, yes. As vampires or as her being a vampire without a soul, nope.

Favourite Dangel episode: "Dear Boy". I love the scene between the two of them in the water tank. 🙂

What made you like the 'ship: I don't know... Something about Angelus and Darla is so right; there's a reason they were lovers for so many years.

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? I was amazed and awed. It proved once again that vampires CAN love, as Drusilla said to Buffy in "Crush". Darla sacrificed herself for her baby; it was the epitome of a mother's love.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end?
I think it could have, if Darla had been given back her soul again. I don't think it would have worked out long-term if Darla was soulless.

I'm a Dangelus person, but I loved how he came to care for her in season 2 and 3. I don't think they could have worked with one of them unsouled, though but that's just my take on it.

What made you like the 'ship: I dunno exactly. In the early days they were interesting. I wouldn't want to hang with them, being human haha, but they were interesting to watch and wicked. I liked in seasons 2 and 3 on Angel how he still cared for her (but he'd still strike her down if need be.)

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child?: My reaction was: "OMG!! 🙁" HisMrs said it better.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end?: If they were both souled, yes. If they were both unsouled, yes. I can't see Angel going for an actual relationship with Darla as a nomming on people vampire.

Favourite Dangel episode: Darla is an amazing episode, the flashback scenes are incredible, Lullaby and Dear Boy are great too, but anything with flashbacks will come out on top!

What made you like the 'ship: It was the episode Darla. Before that I'd never given her character or her relationship with Angel or Angelus much thought but this really made me look at them in a new light.

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? Even though it was heartbreaking, seeing a character I love die but it was still utterly amazing, sacrificing herself proved how much she loved Conner and Angel.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end? As a human, defiantly, why not? Even after she was sired, I really believe if she thought being good would make Angel happy then she would have tried to be, with Angel's support.

What made you like the 'ship:
I started liking the ship alot in season 2 of Angel, because they were a hot couple and they were love 150 years.

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child?

I was so surprised that she sacrificed herself for her child because she loved him so much, and I wish she didn't die because she was such a good character in Angel.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end?

Yeah, definately. Unlike some people, I think they really grew to love eachother when Angel was helping Darla with her problems when she got ressurected.

Great thread! Dangel is my 2nd favorite Buffyverse ship after Cander, which is my favorite ship!

Favourite Dangel episode: The trial

What made you like the 'ship: I like the idea of them. What made me enjoy watching them is when Angel really wanted to help her in The trial. I felt their was a connection there. Also I like Darla she is a very interesting character. 🙂

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? I felt a lot of things I felt like it was perfect. She knew she would be a monster without the child and she didn't want to hurt it. She knew what she had to do and I think it was great to see her strength. I also believe that she had such faith in Angel. She trusted he could do this. That scene was powerful had me in tears.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end? I am more of a Cangel but I feel like if she had stuck around and since Cordy unfortunately couldn't they could have worked. I would like to think they would bond over Connor and that would help them. I think Angel loves Darla in a different way. At first it didn't seem like he did but over some time you could see it.

Highly underrated couple, IMO.

What made you like the 'ship: The flashbacks. They're wickedly evil and that Angel does anything to save her, even if she doesn't have a soul. I just adore them. And they're one hot couple and still together if Angel didn't got a soul, I'm sure about that. I always kept thinking Angel felt something for her. It was a very mature love and they're both complex characters.

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? I had tears in my eyes, like everyone, I think. It was a gorgeous episode, Darla really grew as a character. But it was a perfect deathscene for Darla, she died a hero, IMO.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end? No, not with Angel having a soul. Human or not, Darla stays wickedly evil, that's why I love her 😉

I was a little disappointed by the name TBH. I would have gone with

Darla and Angel Appreciation: "I give it a century.... tops"

I LOVE Darla and Angel though!

Favorite episodes include: Darla, Dear Boy, Trial, Lullaby. I hate Dangel eps in Buffy.... they kill it to make Bangel look good.

What made me love Dangel was the way Angel reacted to Darla having a soul and how he tried to save her. When he couldn't, he lost it.... showing his love for Darla. The look especially on his face when Lindsey 'kills Darla' with help from Drusilla shows how deeply he cares for her. The thing that really solidified them as my top couple is the birth of Connor. Darla's love caused her to sacrifice herself to ensure his heath and safety. She proved she loved him and Angel in that moment.

When Darla sacrificed herself, I was shocked, sad, angry and incredibly touched all at the same time. I fell in love with both Darla and Dangel in that moment.

I do believe it could have worked if Darla had regained her soul. We know it's possible. Look at Spike. Had Darla found a way to birth Connor and fight to get her soul for her family, her, Angel, and Connor could have been a wonderful family. I LOVE Dangel <3

I'm a fan of Angelus and Darla, but not Angel and Human!Darla. I think Cordelia was best for Angel.

Besides, Darla is dead - and her self-sacrifice was beautiful - bringing her back would cheapen her death, IMO.

It looks like Bangel will be the winning team in the end.

Great name Connor Holtz, gotta get the name changed by a mod, soon as I figure out how to.

And as for Joan the Vampire Slayer, I know Darla is dead, her sacrifice was a beautiful moment in the Series but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the relationship when it was around and watch my Angel DVDs, oh and BTW Cordy's dead too.

And about Team Bangel winning in the end, I wouldn't count on it, but on the other hand I won't complain if they do

Dangel will always be one of my favourite TV relationships and I don't care if they're dead or alive. As long as we, the fans still love Dangel it will never truly die.

They are one of my favourite TV couples, they're my wallpaper for my desktop. As long as we, the fans of the fantastic Buffyverse still love Dangel it will never truly die

What made you like the 'ship: Honestly, it was at first how sexy they were together. Their scene in "Dear, Boy" always gave me chills. But later, I realized how great of a person souled Darla was and how they both truly cared for each other and would do anything for one another.

How did you feel when Darla dusted herself for their child? I loved Darla even more. I was soooo sad, because I lost one of my favorite characters.

Did you think their relationship could've worked out in the end? No, never. Never in a million years. It makes me sad to say so but they could never live together as a couple, it just wouldn't have worked. They're too reckless.

I don't get why people think Dangel couldn't work out as a long term thing, I think it could, if they were both human which would never happen since Darla is dead and all unfortunately. I like Dangel, I'm Cangel first, but I really enjoyed Darlas storylines in Angel. I would have to say without a doubt my fave Dangel episode is Dear Boy that last scene is one of my fave scenes ever.
