Lindsey just made the comment "she should have her own series"
Do you agree? Would you have watched a Darla spin off?

I think I might, but not set recently. Maybe set between Angel getting his soul and Darla joining the Master in Sunnydale.

It really depends on how good the story is. If it is about BtVS then no, should it be about English witchcraft then probably yes, as I've long wondered what Julie Benz would portray a Witch as in England. For her to characterized as a spin off she could be a witch of the Cornish witches Giles and Willow could become friends with her.

It would definitely depend on the timeframe but I feel a Darla spinoff that explores her relationship with Drusilla would be such a good watch. their chemistry in Angel the series was just divine- They needed more screentime together! Or even the whole group (Angelus, Spike, Dru, Darla) as a sort of villain iteration of the scooby gang would be so interesting

Reason: spelling error .. sorry!
One potential problem if you have the entire Whirlwind is that Darla and Drusilla would likely end up drowned out by Angelus and Spike. And we already have enough of those two.

I would have watched as long as it wasn’t the Darla from Buffy S1.

I don’t think you could have Angel and Spike as main characters as it would eventually become about them. But they could still have recurring roles or appear in flashbacks.
Dru could be a good foil but that might create continuity issues if she is there and Spike isn't if the verse timeline says Dru was with Spike most of the time.

I would like to see it set in the 20th century but with some flashbacks of the time when Darla and Angel rampaged through Europe and then started getting chased by Holtz.

Going by the WW2 Angel episode on the submarine, there was at least some point in the 20th century when Dru was not with Spike.

Frankly, the only character not considered for a spin off were Joyce, Xander and the Angel Supporting cast. I mean, it's like that time where the CW would give any two bit DC character a three season deal?

Having said that, Vampire period piece might have legs. I mean, you would have to deal with Anne Rice in her "Beloved Horror Icon who really doesn't like derivative works" phase. But, if you could get around her, it could work. I mean, it's basically American Horror Story: Castlevania, and sets would be a problem, but it would have legs. Angel was pretty good at making someone like Holtz, who by all accounts, should be a beloved hero, seem like a villain. So, maybe?

Getting guest appearances by D.M. & J M. would be an issue.

I don't think Darla was enough of a compelling character to be a successful spinoff. Lets face it, if Faith, Spike, Ripper and Willow couldn't generate a spinoff, there is not much chance that Darla could.
