Darla is my favorite Buffyverse character. She is strong and beautiful and conflicted. I also loved Lilah.
I loved what they did with Darla in Angel, but I agree...the whole giving birth to Conner thing, and then staking herself....weak.
I only started liking Conner towards the end of four....and then you all know what happened lol.

I was mostly sad for Angel. He really wanted a son.

People think it was the First?! I've never heard that before. Why would the first try to stop the evil deed of murder, wouldn't it be rooting Conner on?


And I don't think it was just in Conner's head... Cordy saw her too after a minute. Of ALL the things that are possible in the Buffyverse I don't think its a stretch to say that it was simply just Darla's spirit/ghost that came back to try to intervene in Conner's behalf.

On "Buffy", Darla was uninteresting to me, not to mention she looked horrible. (Especially in the pilot.)

In "Angel", however...wow. She was INCREDIBLE. I loved her storyline in seasons 2-3, and her appearance to Connor in S4 was AMAZING. (One of my favorite moments in the 'verse).

If it hadn't been for A:TS, Darla would have been an utterly boring character (except, maybe, for the guns scene... her 15 seconds of coolness 😀 ). Totally forgettable, except for the trivia bit of being Angelus' sire. When rewatching BS1, I can't believe how lame Darla is, given the great arc they later wrote for her on Angel!

I fell in love with Darla. Even when she was in Buffy I was intrigued by her character's relationship to/with Angel, and then in Angel she blew me away. I LOVE the spin the writers put on her character, and even though she did spawn Connor (who I ALSO hate with a fiery vengeance), she was AWESOME!

I wasn't that interested in Darla in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but her true character was brought out in Angel. Darla is my favorite character, I loved how insane she was, Season 2 of Angel had a really good story line with the whole Darla thing and im so glad wolfram and hart brought her back to life. Darlas character really just amazes me and i really did like the whole Darla/Angel relationship.

Hm, I really didn´t like her "school girl" outfit, though, kinda weird, just didn´t go with her.

I loved her on Angel, such a great character and the sacrifice she made for Connor, that ungrateful brat!

Everytime I think of Darla I hear Buffy saying "bad hair on top of that outfit?"

I remember watching the series as a 9-year-old when it premiered and actually finding Darla incredibly scary, even moreso than Luke or any of the other season 1 vamps. I think it was that twisted smile...

Needless to say, she was certainly WAY more interesting on AtS...even though I liked her a lot less after she bit Cordelia. That was kind of a dealbreaker...

I love Darla is everything that is Sadistic and everything that has a sweet innocence about her , almost the lamb to the slaughter look about her . But in all honestly she is a monster but she has a certain manner in the way she speaks that makes me liker her . Plus a vampire with guns who knew x

Yep...it seems hard to believe it was that long ago that it premiered. Who woulda thought there'd be a show like BTVS that one can enjoy at 9 and also enjoy at 40?
