Not alot of Darla talk around here it seems. Sure she wasn't the best character in the series, but she had some pretty AWESOME moments! Well I'm gonna get a ball rolling. My question to you is: What is Darla's Best Scene?

For me it would have to be her death in "Lullaby", which is not really a surprise now is it? It's sudden, it's emotional, it's unexpected (I thought), it's cool to watch, and it's IN THE RAIN! Because we all know that the best scenes ever happen in the rain, it's a rule among directors . . . or at least I think it is.
Her scene with Connor in "Inside Out" was really good too. That was probably Connor's best scene (and he doesn't have alot of good ones).

So what about the rest of ya'll? What's your favorite Darla scene?

Well I love Darla....I love her in general throughout Angel....on Buffy only a couple scenes like the gun one, showing up to Joyce, and the first scene ever.

Darla has a lot of wonderful scenes, I love her evil of course but the first scene that comes to mind as her best I think is in Ats 3 when she has realised that she's sharing Connor's soul and that without him she won't care anymore and it scares her. It's a very moving scene.

That's mine too
Darla staking herself in Lullaby was her best scene to me. It was so powerful, filmed beautifully, and felt like a truly epic moment for the series.

The next one that comes to mind for me is Darla hitting Angelus with a shovel. 😀

She has sooooo many good scenes, its hard to pick. Here are some highlights:

(1) In Dear Boy, when Angel takes her to that underground place. I liked the transition between her still playing up to being someone else to then just saying "Im not gona scream!!!" then "there's my boy" when he turns his vampire face on! She also has some incredible lines that really touch upon her relationship with Angel:

"There was a time, in the early years, when you would have said I was the definition of bliss! Buffy wasn't happiness. She was just new!"

"What a poster child for soulfulness you are! This is no life, Angel. Before you got neutered, you just weren't any vampire, you were a legend. Nobody could keep up with you. Not even me. And you don't learn that kind of darkness. It's innate. It was in you before we ever met. And you said you can smell me? Well, I can smell you too. And my boy is still in there and he wants out."

(2) In The Trial when she finally finds peace in being a human, but then Drusilla turns up to change her.

(3) Darla and Dru shopping in The Reunion - Darla's lines are hilarious:

"Now if we could only get some shoes to go with it. Oh, excuse me, Miss? (Steps over the dead body and looks down at a whimpering woman who is pulling herself along across the floor) Any shoe suggestions for my friend's ensemble? (The woman just keeps crying) I said, excuse me-customer with a question here! (Snapping woman's neck.) Service in this place is really unacceptable."

(4) That flashback when we see The Master sire her - such a great piece of history and we really see the suffering of Darla before she turns.

(5) A mention has to go to the first scene in BtVS - she is the first vampire we see - and what an opening!!!

Such a great character with many great moments - those are only a few!

🙂

Easily the scene in "Fool for Love".

I think the boys are going to fi-ight.

DRUSILLA
The King of Cups expects a picnic,
but this is not his birthday.

DARLA
(what?)
Good... point.
Love it!

As D and Pik said, her best scene was her death scene, without any doubts. I was never a big fan of her character *dodge tomatoes* but I really liked her in 'Lullaby'. The scene on the top of that building with Angel was also gripping. Too bad she had to die just when I started to like her.
