Anyone else noticed this hard development which Darla goes through in season 2(of Angel)?
In the beginning confused and scared, then evil again, followed by a time of depression and confusion searching for her identity. Afterwards she tries so become a vampire...then she found trust into Angel and then exactly when I thought she would become a good one, Drusilla appears and turn her to a vampire again.
If I am honest I didn't liked her in the first part of season 2. But then I started liking her, more and more. I think the development was very well portrayed in the show, without looking ridiculous. Juliet Benz is a really great actress. Any other oppinions about Darla, particulary about her change in season 2?

Oh my goodness, the Darla arc (from the moment they brought her back in To Shanshu in LA to her death in season 3) is sooo amazing. One of my favorites in the series. I was not impressed with Darla of Buffy season 1, but she has become one of my favorite characters on AtS. And I was devastated- absolutely devastated!- when Drusilla walked into that room. I swear I felt more despair than Angel LOL.

haha great! A really Darla fan!
Season 2 of Angel is my favorite season of Angel and it is because of Darla. I loved her character and the development she went through. I thought her transformation from bitter sick human to bad-ass vamp to good vamp who sacrifices herself was awesome.

I'm glad they brought the character back, it really did the character justice since we saw so little and got virtually no back story in BTVS season 1.

I LOVED the Darla story arc on "Angel". On BtVS she annoyed me and I wasn't sad to see her die, but when she was brought back on "Angel" I loved her and thought she added so much to the show. 🙂

She didn't interested me in Buffy too!
I hated her on Buffy, but when she was on Ats, I got to love her, thank to her storyline. It was a very good decision.

Question-was Angel right to lock up those lawyers in the cellar? They took away Darla's right for a second chance of life, but did the evil lawyers deserve what they got?

Yes. Interesting question but I am very hard there. They did cruel things, tried to keep murderer away from prison and so the murderers could keep on killing. Someone had to stopp them. And they created a monster to stopp Angel. They didn't care about any feelings Darla had, for them she was a toy, a machine but no human beeing. Darla went through hell and straight back when she turned into a vampire. Everything comes back. From time to time...

And now another question:
What do you think about Angels development?

Was he right in dismissing Gunn, Wesley and Cordelia? Did he lost his aim? Was it correct that he accepted the death of others to hunt Darla? Was it wrong or a necessarity?

At first I was angry with him for firing them. But afterwards I understood where he was coming from. He didn't want any of them near him while he was going to the dark side. He was probably afraid of hurting them. But he could have handled it better. Instead of firing them he could have sent them away on a vacation or something.
