i havent actually seen "the trial" in a while, though i have watched some of the eps near it, but anyway, i was watching that clip of darla singing (which im pretty sure is from the trial), and i was wondering what would have happened if they somehow found a way to keep darla human, and not have her die? like if the trial angel underwent had worked out the way he wanted it, and then he kept dru from vamping her again. it seems like human darla couldve been an interesting character, plus W&H wouldve had to change their plans, and who knows what wouldve happened!

what do you guys think? would you have liked to see that? and what do you think wouldve happened?

^ Actually, no. I don't think I would have wanted Darla to remain human. She didn't want to be a human. I think a human Darla would have gone and gotten herself killed whilst trying to get revampified... that, or come up with some way to magically FORCE Angel to turn her.

Hmmm... okay, maybe the forced corruption of Angel story would have been entertaining.

Haha definitely :D
but after seeing what lengths Angel went to save her, she didnt want to be vamped. She was ready to die. I woulda prefered that then no Connor drama 😉

Well but they would've found her sooner or later. It's W&H.

I wouldn't give up that scene where Drusilla glides into the room for anything. That was the biggest "HOLY ****" moment in the entire series. Buffy too. Cordelia stabbing Lilah was pretty unexpected, but that entire scene just floored me the first time. Plus, the Darla/Dru interactions that followed were great too. I did like Darla as a human, but I think it was best cut short with us wanting more.

Well I think W&H would've still let Dru revamp Darla. Those events were so close together I don't think they would've even realized Darla was cured. I mean, how? Would either she or Angel be supposed to scream 'goodbye syphillitic (spelling?actually, whole word. have i made it up?)!' or what? But that would've been even more dramatic in a way.
If Darla had in fact become human, Connor would've never been born. He was born from the life that Angel got from the Trial, if Darla had gotten it instead, Connor would've never been born due to the vampirehood of Angel.
Other than that, I could see Darla join AI. I mean, she's been around for ages, surely she could be of great help. And it's not like she could just go and start a new life anyway. First of all, I'm pretty sure W&H wouldn't have let that happen, and second, there would be no record of here anywhere, she couldn't just get a job or something.

Karma for thinking about Darla join AI *___*

That was a great moment.

Angel setting Dru and Darla on fire, that was a laugh. I think Season 2 might be my favourite Angel season.

While having Darla on the show for a while as a non-dying human would have been interesting, I'm gonna go with I wouldn't want it to happen cause it would have made Cangel EVEN MORE angsty than it already was, and we just can't have that

or it would've made Cangel nonexistant :D
Cordelia would have had to shoot her and hide the body so she wouldn't have competition fo' her man...not that Darla really would have BEEN competition for her, but still...

I'm glad she died...if she hadn't been vamped out again by Drusilla they would have found some horrible, inhumane way to off her by the end of the season anyway...

*Gasp* Dangel is wayy better than Cangel :))
I haven't watched Angel in awhile I own seasons 1-5 but haven't watched in awhile. But Darla hated being Human, there for Dru siring her again was a wise Choice IMO.

just finished watching the episode "Darla" Julie Benz was impressive.

She's having a rough time being human once again.

It was natural that Darla turn vampire again and the shock off the moment was a payoff.

Angel wanted to save her to help save himself so obviously he loved her. It's what sent him over the edge the thought of her finally wanting to be saved and then having it taken away from her again.

I don't think Darla being human would have worked, cos she has a soul and it would wear on her a lot more and I think she would have just wanted to die, Angel had a little extra strength what with him being a vampire and all, besides it was good the way they played it, I loved Darla from the first moment, she was great and you just found yourself liking her, she had real character.

I have always wondered what would happen if Darla stayed human!Since she accepted her fate in the end of the Trial,if Drusilla had never stepped in i believe she would try to do sth good in her life...besides she would die of syphillis some months later...maybe she would like to sth like a redemption of her soul mission...like Angel

Seeing Drusilla stepping in after everything Angel went through even willing to sacrifice his life for Darla's...it was just :"oh come on!"...it was like everything was in vain, totally unexpected scene...but it wasn't in vain because Connor was born

It definitely would have been interesting, and fun for all us Dangel lovers, but I like the way things turned out. Reprise, Epiphany, Offspring, Quickening, Lullaby, none of those awesome episodes would have happened if Darla remained human.
