Angelus paced the lobby of the hotel, waiting for Wesley. Turn him? - torture him? - kill him? - torture and then turn him? - turn and then torture him? - torture and then kill him? - torture, turn, then kill him? This was the debate raging in his mind. After a few minutes he settled on the least time-consuming, a quick kill. Turning Wesley wasn't something that would go well. A vampire Wesley, he feared, would be far too much of a prude for his tastes. There was only so much the demon could do to improve on the man or woman it took over, after all. Besides the fact that nobody would miss Wesley Wyndam-Price if he were dead. He'd cut all ties with any of his socalled friends many months earlier. Now, except for the occasional whore, his entire life was Angel Investigations.
Angelus chuckled. "Idiot."
Wesley walked in, and literally skidded to a halt when he saw Angelus. "Angel... I.... Um. Where's Cordelia?" he said in typical bumbling Wesley fashion. He was eyeing Angel suspiciously, but obviously not ready to accept that he had lost his soul as Cordelia had warned him.
"Not here yet," Angelus shrugged, hiding the smirk as he noticed Wesley notice he was still in his robe. It was loosely tied at the waist, showing much of his well-defined chest. As if the soul never realized you wanted this body he thought with a sigh. Unfortunately, so much to do and so little time.
"It's early, why are you awake? Dreams, still?" Wesley asked.
"No, I was hungry," Angelus said nonchalantly, leaning against the counter. "What brings you here so early?"
"Cordelia was... Um.... Concerned? Yes. Concerned."
Angelus continued to gaze at Wesley, enjoying the fact that it was severely disconcerting the Ex-Watcher.
Wesley was utterly baffled by Angel's odd behavior. Did I hear Cordelia right on the phone? Is it? Or was she just talking about her vision? "Well. I should call Cordelia. She called me, apparently she had a rather disturbing vision."
He started to walk toward where Angelus was standing, and reach over the counter for the phone.
He squeaked as Angelus grabbed him on his way by, pulling him back against his body, pinning his arms to his sides. "Angel?" he squeaked again. "What are you doing?"
"Relax, Wes. There's nothing to worry about," Angelus cooed in the man's ear. "Cordelia is fashionably late, as always. Since you're here though, we could play for a while, before she gets here."
"Absolutely not!" Wesley said resolutely, and Angelus let him struggle out of his grasp. He didn't turn, but continued away from Angelus and into the office.
Angelus chuckled. It was so much fun playing with his prey. He wondered how long it would be before Wesley finally figured out what was going on. He followed Wesley into the office, and shut the door behind him, locking it.
Wesley jumped at the sound. "I need to call--" All intelligent thought was halted as he turned and looked behind him. Angel had slipped into game face.
"Angel? Your face."
"What about it, Wes? I happen to like it," Angelus smiled. "Oh, I know, Cordelia preferred this one," he reverted to his human face briefly, before returning to his true face, "but I taught her that the demon's there just the same."
"What do you ..." realization hit Wesley then, as did the fear. "Angelus?"
"Ding-ding-ding-ding! The light went on, ladies and gentlemen," Angelus replied with a chuckle. "Now, I'd like to chat but I'm rather hungry." He lunged at Wesley, who darted behind the desk. Angelus rolled his eyes, and leaped over the desk, then pinned Wesley to the wall. "Any last words?" he asked, with a smirk.
"You won't get away with this," Wesley said.
Angelus groaned and said, "Oh, dear. Can't you humans come up with something a little more original? Do you KNOW how many times I've heard that right before I drain someone? Oh, and by the way, you won't be seeing Cordy anytime soon. She's going to join the family." He reveled in the look of anger in Wesley's face, before sinking his teeth into his neck. The man struggled, but didn't cry out. Angelus drank the blood which gushed out of the wound, and Wesley eventually stilled. When he heard Wesley's heart beat slowing, he dropped him to the floor. "One down," he said with satisfaction. "And I've only just begun to enjoy myself!"
