Data transfer

hi guys, kinda silly question, maybe... any ideas on what i can do to reduce data transfer without reducing content of my site please?
basically, im not really very good with any technical stuff, but ive got a website on geocities (non buffy) problem is it keeps exceeding data transfer, i tried moving it to envy.nu, but they've gone now, i dont really have time to redo the whole thing so its easier just to move it back to geocities i think (unless anyones got any other ideas 😀) so what can i do to stop it exceeding data transfer limit please, i dont wanna get rid of my pics or anything, etc? hopefully someones got a clue what im on about, and can give me some advice, id really appreciate if you could, please and thanks for reading 😀 love angela 🙂

if your site graphic heavy..
is so you could try compressing your images, which would make them small but their quality may suffer.
Paint shop Pro is the only program i know of that can compress images.

I've had this problem......I just ignore it and my site gets turned off sometimes......if you are good at HTML to could look for someone to host you......

thanks for the replys afraid my HTML knowledge isnt upto much, and i dont have paint shop pro unfortunately, i suppose you get what you pay for huh 🙁

Lview is a nice shareware program that you can use to compress graphics. Often, compressing gfx is just a matter of reducing the number of colors in an image, or changing the format from a gif to a jpg. You might want to consider making your site not so graphics intense.

You could also create another site for your images and then link to pages from that site...did that make sense??

ie - my site bslayed1 - has all image galleries on ibslayed
