David as Batman or Superman

Was doing some surfing today and came across this little tidbit I thought I'd share

David was considered for the roles of both Batman, in Batman Begins, and Superman, in Superman Returns.

Can't see him in the blue tights and red cape but man he could have pulled off being Bruce Wayne aka Batman.

Why?
For me Superman has that midwest 'yes ma'am' look so David could not have pulled it off.
But he can do the brooding, melodramatic character required for the Batman role plus he does look good in a tux. Besides if Clooney can do it why not David? lol

Maybe because we will see a bit of "Angel" in the role, if he hadn't played Angel maybe it would of worked, but i see what you mean,But i'm glad they chose Christain Bale.

 

[What happened to good TV?]

Well I thought Christian Bale (and the entire of Batman Begins sucked...bigly) Its one of the few films I've had to turn off during watching. David playing Batman....I would've watched the entire film. Personally I can see it. Batmans a little...camp. I think David at times played campness well, not overly, but to the Batman appropriate amount of campness. I think it would've been cool.

You know what, I can also see him being a good Superman. Again with the campness, but I'll stop talking about that, people might start asking questions.

I dont think it would be a bad thing to see a bit of Angel in the roles. In fact I think it would've been a good thing.
