David Boreanaz is furious with SMG

Hi, er, first post here! *waves*

Well, I personally don't feel like its a huge loss for Sarah to not show up this season. I'm holding up hope that another network will pick up Angel, so there's always next season. If Angel hadn't been cancelled on the WB, then I'd still be saying that next season would be better for her to show up. It just seems awfully predictable that after Buffy ends, she would make a cameo on Angel. Of course, if this indeed is the very last season of Angel then it would be cool to see her for a minute or two, but not make her a big part of the finale. I mean in a way it would be cool to have Buffy be a big part of the finale, just because of the history, but as others have said it would be cool to see the AtS characters end it on their own.

As for SMG, I can understand people getting upset. Buffy is the role that *made* SMG, so of course you want to do your fans right. But honestly I don't think it's right for people to expect her to drop everything she's doing right now to do a guest spot. It's not her fault the show got cancelled and she happened to be filming other things right now. You have to give her a little credit for making some money at the moment and not sitting by the phone waiting for the moment when she can guest on Angel. She has other things she's got to get done too.

Just my thoughts.
 
Not only has she pis$ed off DB, Alyson Hannigan isn't to friendly with her anymore. Relations got 'frosty' after SMG announced the S7 would be the last without telling everyone else.
 
If SMG does not return, I can see her fan base reducing drastically!

Well speaking personally i'm not going to stop being a fan of her's just because she won't return to the show. I think thats a bit harsh to be honest.

I'm with you Faith, that is harsh. I know I won't stop liking her if she can't/won't appear on Angel. I think she is a great actress and I wouldn't want to miss her performances in movies, tv or whatever endeavours she undertakes.
 
Oh yes it really sucks when someone does what THEY want with their OWN lives..and not what you want.

Please. This theme popping up over and over is just really getting to me. It's her life. She makes decisions regarding her life. I would be ticked beyond belief if someone had the nerve to talk about my life's decisions the way people talk about hers.

Remember .. the show is called ANGEL, not Buffy's Ex-Vampire Lover With a Soul. Let it end the way it should. With the Angel characters. They could do some really neat things with it...and it's fun when they leave it open to your own interpretation. That way, everyone gets the ending they want.

nope,that way,no one gets the ending they want....If she appears,Bangels are gonna be happy and Spuffys sad,...this way,everyone is sad

You misread my post. I meant if she doesn't appear people can get the ending they want.

They can leave it open so that Bangels decide in their mind Buffy and Angel are together, and Spuffy's decide Spike and Buffy are together.

I'm with you all the way on this one Red. Yes Angel and Buffy share a link they always will, but the show is about the characters in LA not Buffy, and personally thats the way I want it to end. I don't find any need to bring Buffy over.
 
This topic turned out better than I thought. Lot's of different opinions in here, that's good!

My ideal Angel finale includes SMG. Of course, if that doesn't happen, well it's not the end of the world. Sure I'll be pissed, but I don't know what goes on in the world that is television and movies. S*** happens. I know I said in my earlier posts that I believe that Sarah's fan base would kinda drop if she didn't do this, but I'd still continue liking her. I'll always know her as Buffy and you just can't get mad at Buffy. Plus she's always so cute in interviews 😛

I think they can at least hint to some resolution of the Angel - Buffy - Spike triangle without SMG being on the show. I just want some answer, even one I won't like will be better than nothing at all. In my opinion anyway.
 
Guys, give Sarah a break. She didn't plan of doing the episode arc, but maybe now that she's found out that they show is being cancelled she will return to conclude the Buffy/Angel saga.
 
I admire David's honest on the subject as most people would just sugar coat their true feelings when asked things like this. But I also think that it is Sarah's life and there may be other issues here that aren't being taken into consideration like contracts etc
 
I agree with what you said about contracts...though I encourage everyone to read the full article that was posted, because it doesn't seem to me from reading it that David is furious with SMG.

I heard that before and I think the least she could do is to Appear for the finale.

He did do if for hers and let alone she's only been in like 2 other Angel Episodes and that was way back in s1

i jus tthink she should too 🙂
and i feel sorry for David

but, its not like Im gunna hate her for it..i dont think i could lol
