Also, "Angel" star David Boreanaz has joined the cast of "Bones", a drama pilot for Fox about a forensic anthropologist.

BONES (A.K.A. BRENNAN) (FOX) - David Boreanaz ("Angel") and Michaela Conlin ("The D.A.") are the first to be cast in the drama pilot (previously known as "Brennan"), about a team of forensic anthropologists who solve crimes using evidence supplied by skeletal remains. Boreanaz will play an F.B.I. agent who works with the Smithsonian's Medico-Legal Lab that's the focus of the series. Conlin then will play Angela, additional character details about who weren't available. Hart Hanson, Barry Josephson and Kathy Reichs are the executive producers of the project, which comes from 20th Century Fox Television. Greg Yaitanes is set to direct the pilot from a script by Hanson.

That is so kewl! I love David Boreanaz! hehe. 😀 But now I can actually see him on a station I have. Having 3 stations can be really boring sometimes, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PRESIDENT IT ON! It's going to be a change though from Buffy and Angel.😀

Forensic anthropologist? Personally I would call that forensic archaeology. Isn't antrophology about the relations between human ethnic groups, the study of human behaviour? Can't see where the bone analysis enters the picture.

Anyway looking forward to seeing David in something new.

That's great!! I can't wait to see it!! David Boreanaz is also my favourite actor along with James Marsters. lol ::dance:: :clap2:

Would anyone know when it will be on in Canada?

That does sound good! Hope there's a fair bit of action though and not just loads of investigating and sciencey stuff. I'll be looking forwards to it.

Jolly ape- I thought anthropology was about bones but I guess you're right:

"an·thro·pol·o·gy

The scientific study of the origin, the behavior, and the physical, social, and cultural development of humans.
That part of Christian theology concerning the genesis, nature, and future of humans, especially as contrasted with the nature of God: "changing the church's anthropology to include more positive images of women" (Priscilla Hart)."

Oh lord! Another one of these forensics dramas? They're becoming a dime a dozen.

I'm sick to death of them. I admit, I'm more inclined to TRY it, since I like DB's acting, but I won't be any more inclined to LIKE it....
I think it would be anthropology because they're attempting to solve crimes using the forensic data. The crime would be the subject of the study of certain human behaviours.

Or that could make no sense whatsoever and it's just my meds talking 😀

Urgh, *snore*

I love David, just wish he could have chosen something interesting to do, lol...

That is spectacular news. I know it's part of the me-too CSI sort of shows but there is a reason those shows are so popular and this does have a nifty little twist of it's own. Now when are we going to get to see James on a weekly series ? Oh well, for now there is "Cool Money" next week and the Dresden Files are still possible... :neo:
