David Boreanaz, Henry Thomas, Vera Farmiga and Bruce Dern will star in The Hard Easy, an independent heist film currently shooting in Los Angeles with Ari Ryan directing. Written by Jon Robert Lindstrom and Tom Schanley, the story centers on two men who attempt to rob a jewelry store on the same day.

The Hollywood Reporter says Boreanaz plays Roger, an unlucky, unethical stock trader and Princeton graduate who agrees to rob the jewelry store with a team in order to cover losses that could put him in jail. Thomas plays Paul, a lowlife gambler who is attempting to do the same thing in an effort to pay off his gambling debts.

Farmiga (Running Scared) will play Dr. Charlie Brooks, an attractive, worldy woman who is trying to get revenge on Paul for her father's death. Dern plays the role of Gene, a former military man who is part of the robbery team.
 
Jens Grohmann from Germany sent along this link to a German site that lists upcoming movie releases in Germany. As reported at IMDB, they list February 3rd, 2005, for a release date. This isn't "official" confirmation, but it does seem to be in line with previous reports we have seen. As we have come to learn, ANY reports outside of official channels need to be taken at face value. Still no word on release dates for other countries, so those in the UK, Australia, U.S., France, etc, continue to wait and see.

The production continues to wait on various administrative and post production processes to be finished up. The word is VERY positive on the latest cut of the film and it still looks like the film will be delivered to Miramax/Dimension in November/December time frame. Of course, then we must wait for Dimension to figure out what they want to do with the film. Given what we have seen and information from the production, Dimension should be pleased with the end results. As we reported, there is a lot of personnel shifting going on at Miramax/Dimension, so beyond the normal stuff, the film will have to fight for its release with all that going on. Yeah, I heard about those movies. I work at a Video store and I had the owner order a couple of The Crow:Wicked Prayer so that she can have one to put out for renting and the other is for me! 🙂
 
I just forced myself to sit through "The Crow: Wicked Prayer," Mainly because David was in it, and I kept hoping that there would eventually be at least some small kernel of a redeeming quality about it. Having managed to sit through the whole thing now, I have to ask, how desperate for money must David Boreanaz been to have ever agreed to be associated with something this bad?. I will be the first one to point out that he isn't one of the greatest actors who ever lived, but he is at least serious about wanting his career to grow. Trash like this can only harm an actor's reputation. No wonder he went running back to television at the first opportunity.

About the only good thing that I can say about this movie is that it is a close second to "Highlander: The Source" in my all time worst movies list.

David Boreanaz is directing an episode on Finder. It's not a TV series I think I'm going to watch, I did see the episode on Bones were these characters appeared:

The mid-season premiere of The Finder (Fox, Global, 8 p.m.), a spinoff of Bones starring Geoff Stults, finds the series airing on a new day and time. Rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson guest stars as - wait for it - a rapper, and David Boreanaz (Bones) directs.
