David Cheated

I don't think that's fair. This isn't a normal situation. I see it as him trying to contain the story and protect his family. It's better for him to tell his wife, then break the story himself than have the other woman sell the details piecemeal to various rags. Look at the whole Tiger Woods thing and how that was drawn out. Of course, I'm not saying he's blameless, but I think he did the right thing...eventually.

Plus, we don't know if he accepted money for the story. The cynic in me thinks he probably did, but we don't know.

I still stand by what I said. I'm wondering though, what is stopping this woman selling her story now? Yeah, he outed himself but you know magazines would still run this in a heartbeat?

Is there actual laws that prevent her talking out?

I have never liked the guy but I still can't help but think less of him. All this infidelity by actors and sports stars is rather disheartening. Makes you wonder who else is cheating and just waiting to get caught. He should be ashamed of himself. Everyone who is saying this is none of our business is spot on but he made it our business when he went to People with this story. I actually find that even more disgusting, that he is making money from this.

I think it's better he gets paid for the story, Your one can still probably sell the story, but since he's broken the news they would get a hell of a lot less for it, as it wont be breaking news

Eleftheria agrees: although I like him, I agree with you about the making money from it...I mean, he could have avoided publicity...

He couldn't have really, even if she took the payment she would be able to keep blackmailing him, or just leak it anyway

He's a spa, don't get me wrong, he's wife is hot. But I think it was clever to get out ahead of the story, allows you to control the story then the story control you.

I love you man-logic! lol

I get what you're saying but personally, I think he deserves to squirm and not be in control for awhile on this one. And yes, this is my woman-logic. 😉

Your woman-logic does not resemble our Earth-logic!

No, I totally get what you're saying. But the point is, it's not just about him. The story was going to break, that's clear. It always does when things get to this point. He's going to be damaged either way. To be honest, it doesn't make much difference to him how it happens. He might have even been able to deny it if he had wanted - you hear these kiss-and-tell stories all the time. Most people only believe the ones with proof. But that's not the point. He didn't do it to control the story for himself - it was to reduce the impact on his family. This way, his wife doesn't get placed in the position that Tiger Woods' wife was in. Obviously, it's still a pretty horrible place she's in, but it's been done on their terms. Letting the story out of control wouldn't have done anyone any good, but it would have added insult to his wife's injury. That's why I feel he made the right choice to break it first.

I never claimed any such thing as earth logic! lol I'll say no more because I have nothing much else to offer but I think he is getting off *WAY* easy! Mercy, thy name is NOT Kean :p
crazysoulless agrees: I love Brennan & Booth but NOT as a couple. I don't see the chemistry everyone talks about. Zero much in the way of sexual chemistry imo.
What? WHAT? But Bones and Booth are just so... what?! Hah, I know this is completely off topic, but I think they breathe chemistry when they're onscreen. Ah, well, to each her own.

Didn't he cheat like years ago? I only found out about this a few months ago, i was shocked but not really, you can see he is a right ladies man. I went off him went i found out about this. :/

tut tut!

I think that cheating is dispicable. Completely.

But, at the same time, his personal life has nothing to do with his proffesional life.

The people who care about this kind of stuff are the same people who drove Brittany insane and the same people who ruined dozens of careers because appearently just because they are celebrites we think we should be able to annouce and judge them publicly.

It makes me really sad for the people who care about this stuff, because guess what...it's none of you buisness at all.

Well, celebrities have to face that they're going to be under the public eye. And really, so many of them want it--even crave it. Take Britney. The girl didn't have to make herself so conspicious in public and she didn't have to live in LA. If the spotlight was being so terrible to her and if she wanted to take control of her life, she could have gotten out.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the paparazzi. I hate tabloids, and I agree with you for the most part. But there are a fair share of stars that love the limelight and the media attention as much as they claim to hate it. And with DB, it's not that it's my business, but now that I know, I can't help letting it affect the way I view him.

They do have to understand that they're going to be watched, that is true. The thing is, I really don't believe all that many of them crave it. It's almost always hurtful to them...have you read the statistics on lawsuits from "celebrities" against paparizi?

Eh...personally I really hate E! and entertainment weekly and all the similar publications. Whether they like it or not, we've created an entirely new addiction that only feeds on the pain of others....how can that be ok?

There is a thing called schadenfreude which is basically the "regular" person getting endorphin pleasure from the downfall of a "celebrity". That's why these articles exist, because we want them too.

It's not right. If we don't know these people personally we shouldn't know their personal information, but we demand it. And that to me is beyond pathetic.

I agree with all of this, but there are the Heidi Montags and Spencer Pratts of the world.
I strongly believe that this shouldn't be other's business, nor should people who don't personally know David be judging him for it.

Cheating is a ridiculously unexcusable act, and I detest it, but I do believe that sometimes it's not always a case of 'I'm just a jerk and I'm gonna go sleep around with anyone I want to no matter if I'm married or not'. Some people really do make mistakes. I think his wife understands this; other wise I don't believe they'd be trying to work through it.

Regardless of that though, it's not our business. Not even a little bit. His 'career' may be, but I don't think his personal life is at all.

I have to agree with this completely. This is what else baffles me about people who are in the entertainment business. Those who are always wanting to have a private life is understandable but this is what comes with the job. You have to expect to be front page news at some point in your career, you can't have the sweet without the sour as they say. I do hope though that David has this situation under control and we're not looking at another Jesse James or even worse... Tiger Woods story.

There's this crazy conflict where because they're famous they have probably far more opportunities to cheat than the average person, so they have all this temptation all the time. Yet also because they're famous, they will almost certainly be caught if they do it. You'd think they'd figure that out but it's like they just can't resist all those hotties throwing themselves at them. I would never, ever date or marry a celebrity.

When it's all said and done, trust has been broken and a marriage hangs in the balance. I don't personally know Boreanaz's wife Jaime, but the woman is probably is experiencing a multitude of emotions right now.

How could he?

Why didn't I realize this was going on?

Did he use protection?

I need to be tested for various STD's.

If I forgive him, will he cheat again?

Has he cheated throughout the entire marriage and prior to that?

Can I ever completely trust him again?

Plus Davd has now placed his family on TMZ's and the Paps radar, at least for the time being.

Or until the next sex scandal hits with another celeb, seem to be like a plague right now.

Tiger Woods

Jesse James

Tiki Barber

Nice job dude....

It's weird, Angel is my favourite character but I'm honestly not that disappointed because I never expect anything from actors. We never know what goes on behind closed doors. I don't know how happy they were in their relationship etc so I have no cause or frame of reference to be shocked.

I do feel somewhat sorry for the rest of the family as its humiliation and scrutiny must be harrowing, but what about a guy who leaves his family who are left with barely enough to live on. It's all kind of a trade off, but I'm not really going to lose any sleep.

I'm a bit disappointed by this. I mean, Buffy was a show i grew up with, and hence grew up watching him on t.v. It sucks when you hear stuff like this, but i guess it just shows he's human like the rest of us.

I was pretty surprised by this news, but I'm not going to dwell on it. I agree with all of you that believe that this is none of our business, but with that said, I hope that they can reconcile or divorce amicably (if it comes to that).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I blame David more than Tiger.

The difference is, the "Tiger Woods" name is a franchise on its own. I wouldn't be surprised if his agent told him to become a family man in order to become the face of brands such as Nike or Gatorade. This certainly doesn't excuse what he did, but at least there could be a reason.

On the other hand, Boreanaz is an A-/B+ TV actor. I can't imagine his family status has gotten him any work, or anyone really cared if he was married. The point is, he could have playboy-ed it up for the rest of his life, and no one would really have cared. Instead he chose to marry a gal and have kids...

^^Regardless of why either of them did what they did they are both equally accountable. They both took vows, they made a commitment and they both broke those vows. There is no "worse" in this situation, betrayal cannot be diluted, they are equally culpable for their actions.
