Read at whedonesque.com that David Greenwalt is the associate producer of Surface and he has written one episode.

Hey, yeah I noticed that too. I'm not sure what to make of that show.

It's like a combination of Close Encounters, Jaws and, Gremlins or something. That guy obsessing over his brother, abandoning his family, drawing sketches of whirlpools is like a direct quote, ripoff of Spielberg. Kinda blah, but I'm a sucker for that genre.

I'm not sure what to make of that show.

Me neither. Sometimes I think, "Hey, this is stupid", and others times I think "Hey, this is not too bad". Lately it's felt like the show is on the verge of getting interesting though.

Personally my favourite of that "supernatural forces converge to attack the earth" kind of thing is Threshold.

How is Threshold going? I watched the first two eps. It feels like it's gonna be, "let's track down the replicant psycho alien of the week" kinda thing. Not much variation. Is it all definitely building towards something? I like the cast, Brent Spiner, Carla what's-her-name, Peter Dinklage...

What's surprising to me is how much I like "Ghost Whisperer". It's kinda "Touched by an Angel" and "Highway to Heaven", yet I find it really involving for some reason. And Jennifer Love Hewitt always used to annoy me, so chipper and good-natured. It pissed me off, heh.

I should probably be making these comments in Social Studies, but...

Well Threshold is a legitimate comparison to Surface, so I don't see a problem there. Me, I like it better than Surface. I like the little guy. Is that Dinklage? But, where did the dog go? That was the coolest little dog ever.

On the status of the shows. It's here -

-Surface: full season renewal
-Threshold: three additional scripts orders.

Sneaking OT with you for a sec though. 🙂 Yeah, Ghost Whisperer. I love it. It's like Tru Calling could have been if everything worked.

Maybe I'll try Threshold again...Dinklage is the little guy, yeah. Was in "The Station Agent", a really nice little indie flick"”his "breakout" role.

I do have to say that I did like last night's Surface ep. The kid with the baby sea monster is still dumb, but the government conspiracy stuff seems to be kicking into high gear now...

thats cool, I personally love Surface, it has become my new monday 8 o'clock show to watch regularly followed by Las Vegas.
