David On The Paul O'Grady Show.

I think he's a little too nice for my liking, to me he seems more brothery or best friendy than anything. I like em a little dark...which really isn't a good thing!

I like my fictional guys a little dark, but I like my real guys to be sweeties. Even in a fictional guy, too much darkness can get to me. For example: Mr. Darcy? Just dark (and by dark, I mean an arrogant SOB) enough. Heathcliffe? TOO Dark! Giles? Just dark enough. Angel? TOO Dark! I guess I liked for them to have been dark at some point, but to have gotten over it by they time they "meet" me. lol.

Ok I'll give you Heathcliff, thats more dark than I'm willing to deal with. Darcy is just annoying! Giles isn't dark enough but Angel is just right!!

Darcy is annoying?! Them's fighting words!

Darcy isn't my favorite Jane Austen man, though. That honor goes to Henry Crawford. I know he was supposed to be a rake... but my goodness, was he a charmer or was he a charmer?

Anyway, you like Angel's brand of darkness and I prefer DB's easy-going appeal. Luckily for us, both come in the same package!

Honestly he did...it was a Jamacian-Irish hybrid!

Lucky us indeed! I can't help but love the rakes! I mean John Wilmot was prick but God did he do it with style!

I think I should be worried that I find all these wretched characters/people appealing...

I won't delve into the Austen talk otherwise I'll be here for hoooours- I'm a total Austen geek- but I've just watched the Youtube video and he was just so great. A little confused at first by the British Humor I think (My hubby's English so I think I've adjusted. Haha. It's heavy on the sarcasm...) but he eventually got into the flow of things. And lucky Dvina getting a smoochy, even if it was a peck on the cheek.
Also, couldn't help laughing at David not understanding Paul's accent. Is it Liverpudlian or something? I'm not sure. It was pretty hard to understand sometimes, but I suppose being right there in the conversation would make it harder for David. I do love that smile of David's though. Such a boyish grin- gets me everytime!

yay! your knowledge gilr! oh and the Máire thing, Moira is the anglican spelling of that name. I always spell it in Irish for well obvious reasons!

Yeah he's from Birkenhead Merseyside...so its as close to Liverpudlian as you can get. He got this lost look on his face, it was priceless...don't know why he couldn't say Mà¡ire though...he sounded like Kendra!

I thought he was trying to say Moira. Oh my, confusion abounds on that show haha. And ah, so he was Liverpudlian? Yay, I have knowledge
*Tries desperately to haul thread back on topic*
Well the tape of DB's interview arrived but it was unwatchable on our VCR, so it looks like we'll be hitting the youtube link posted earlier (thanks for that btw)...talking of which, did anyone see DB on the Graham Norton show and is that on youtube as well?
