Stephen Moffat, though not RTD, is a great writer.
I don't understand what you mean here?
Are you suggesting that RTD is a better writer?
I would have to sorely disagree. In a recent SFX article RTD actually states that Moffats scripts are the ONLY ones that he doesn't go over, doesn't rewrite because they are that good and if we take that as complete fact then I think we can safely say that Moffat is a great writer CONSIDERING Moffs stories are generally considered the best of the season.
In fact show me an RTD episode that is better than a Moffat episode.
Oh, that Patterson Joseph guy, is he the african one out of Green wing? (Oh, I know that sounded slightly nastier than it was supposed to sound) He's funny. I don't know if he's the best option but it would be interesting to see what happens if he gets the part ^^
Yes thats him, he was also in Doctor Who in Bad Wolf and Parting of the Ways as the contestant on Weakest Link.
I don't know if I like the idea of him because I have never really found him extremely funny. Also the bookies have absolutely no idea, what they are doing is planting seeds into both the public conciousness and the creators.
The public will think 'ohh I'll put a bet on him then' and the creators will shy away from - its perfect money making tactics.
My three wank-fantasy Doctors would be Alan Rickman, Anthony Head and Patrick Stewart(thanks Shemp) but the show will never go for someone like that which is a complete shame.
