David comes to the end of his Five-year contract . Read what he thinks about a new season of Angel!


David Boreanaz had reservations about the reinvention this year of his "Angel" series- which plunked the action hero into an extremely high-end law firm with unique otherworldly cases, and added James Marsters' Spike character (from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") to the cast.

"I welcomed his coming in, but I didn't know how the switch would work," he says. But now he feels the risk paid off. "They're taking my character once again to a totally different place. Every year I play him differently, and it keeps everything new and fresh."

Boreanaz is directing this week's episode, "Soul Purpose," and promises fans will see his stamp. And pretty soon it will be contract renegotiation time for Boreanaz, who is in the fifth year of a five-year deal.


"I don't know what's going to happen. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Actually, I have no comment!"

No, he hasn't directed an Angel ep before.

Angel is a great show and I really hope he decides to continue playong the character... unlike SMG...
 
I think he will continue playing the character,..but it isn't up to him anyway,...we don't know if Ats will have a sixth season...
 
Ok get over the whole SMG thing, she played the charecter from the age of 19-25 7 years! of her own life and she renewed her contract all of those times(she couldve left any time her contract came up but she didnt).

I think that David will probably sign for another season since he does not show any signs of wanting to leave, and its a stable job.
 
I think he will keep playing Angel. He never acts like he's bored and he always seems happy with the way everything's going.
 
David has said a lot recently that he likes playing Angel because its a character with many different faces.
 
DB I think is happy playing the role of Angel, hopefully he will continue that for a few more seasons, as there is so much they can do on Angel!!!
