Dawn and Connor talk about life

This is for fun - I came up with it in another thread but I thought some people might enjoy the game.

Let's say that somewhere in season 5, Connor remembers his early life, and he and Dawn compare notes.

"I was kidnapped and raised in a hell dimension."
"I was an ancient ball of green energy, and a god tried to use me to send all the worlds into hell, so my sorta sister killed herself''

'My first love was a teen-age hooker who ODed in the bathroom'
'Mine was a vampire that I had to stake.'

'I sank my father into the ocean to make him suffer eternal torment.'
'I shoplifted a necklace, raised a demon, almost got forcibly married and taken to hell...oh, and nearly killed my sister again.'

 

[Blaze]

"My dad used to date the slayer"
"wait, my sister used to date a vampire"

Haha, not to be mean to Dawn or compare pain really but man, when I see their things stacked up like that I kind of feel like her deal is a bit whiny and petty.

What I hear;
"I spent my whole childhood in hell, fighting for survival against unspeakable horrors, and eventually clawed my way out with my own hands in order to kill the father I was raised to believe was an utter monster. My mom's dead and I have no one but this bitter old man who raised me in hell. In my mind my father has utterly abandoned me."

"I have no awareness of being anybody but suburban little me, I mean my parents got divorced and my sister's a Slayer, and I do throw giant tantrums about not really knowing who I am but at the end of the day I know I'm loved and taken care of. I'm a bit neglected at times but even when I was kidnapped by a psychotic hell-god I knew my sister would come to my rescue. She sacrificed herself for me out of love and left me with a group of beloved friends/makeshift family to take care of me."

What I hear;
"I was utterly alone in a new world with no one to trust but this girl, the first girl I've ever met in my entire conscious life, who died in my arms shortly thereafter from things I don't even understand what they are. This world sucks."

"I snuck out to kiss a boy."

What I hear;
"Yeah I really did that because that's how messed up I am at this point."

"Yeah, I'm a useless brat by now."

Not really. In my mind at least.
I laughed at the lighter ones you had written and also laugh at what I see as the subtext.

Dawn: I pout and whine a lot.

Connor: Man, I am so much like my Dad.
Dawn: Yeah, I'm so much like my sister.

And thats why I always thought Donnor would be a great ship.. and an awesome party.
