Dawn Casting - What would you do ?

This is my second thread so be gentil

My question is:
If you where the one casting the actress to play Dawn would you pick Michelle ? Why ?

I'll start by saying bloody yes. And by not saying why ...

How about you ?

I think Michelle is right for the role, I really, truly hated her at first, but seaon 6, and 7, she grew on me, she's good at playing Dawn, except for when she yelps like a dog when she screams 😀

I think Michelle is perfect. I started to love her from the end of S5, she is my second fave on Buffy!!!
 
i think michelle is perfect! i was afraid you guys would say amanda bynes-YUCK!!!
 
I won't post my opinion cause i don't want to influence yours. Don't wanna put limits to the discussion. I'll tell you what i think after some more posts.

Amanda Bynes would suck big time on Buffy. She is too happy to play a serious dramatic part. Not that she can't do it... just that this isn't her line of work...

How do you guys feel about Michelle growing up a lot through the last seasons, both in mind and body ? Its a fact that she ruled season 7, but how about seasons 5 and 6 ?
 
she is perfect she makes you hate to love her....you cant help feeling protective towards her like you would a sibling because of how the rest of the gang interact with her.
 
i really dispised her at first. But i think that it had more to do with the writing of her character that with her acting. I always found her to be so annoying, which really goes to her credit, i think that that was the point.

So, the short answer, yes, i think she's great.

i think that michelle is a good dawn! when i first heard that she was going to play buffys little sis i got disapointed, cos i've seen her as the middle child in some other show, and she was not a very good actress, but i was glad to see that she was okay in buffy... that she had grown in her ating skils.. and i can see why they picked her, they can resemble eachother MT and SMG with out being so simlar.. they can stil look like sister! .. i think that's cool😉
 
I agree she does look like she could be Buffy's sister. Michelle was great for the part, I would of cast her if I did that kinda thing. She's a great actress, I loved her since season 5 & Dawn is cool. She's a really pretty girl and she does serious scenes well (like Forever and Bargaining) and also can deliver funny lines like in the Real Me. About Amanda Bynes, I'm a fan of hers, I love her show What I Like About You and her movie What a Girl Wants but I also think she's alot better at comedy than maybe a show like Buffy, Michelle was a perfect fit
 
I don't really like her acting. She seems like she tries too hard...like she over does it...
 
I thought that MT was perfect for the role, she plays dramatic well and funny well the only thing that i dont like is when she screems that is just too annoying. I liked Dawin in season 5 and then went off her character a bit in season 6 she got a little too whinney but then for season 7 she was great.
about the Amanda Bynes thing i am so glad that she was not cast a Dawn cos dont get me wrong shes a great actress and i love her shows like what i like about you (but i hate the amanda show urgh) but she does funny better.
 
a mojor reason why i like Michelle as dawn so much is becuase were not supposed to like the annoying younger teenage sister, and well, as its been proven most peple didnt like dawnie at first, so if you can get a character right, you should have the part.

plus michelle was so cute in harriet the spy and i wanted to see more of her!
