Dawn in Season 2

Do you guys ever wonder how it would of been like with Dawn in S2 i don't but i wonder what would of she been like with the whole Fanged 3 thing but idk maybe Buffy would of asked
Joyce to ask her Dad to take dawn for the last few eps after Angel got turned.

What do you guys think would of happened?

I would LOVE to see the previous seasons with Dawn. If anyone knows any good fanfic concerning Dawn pre-Dawn I'd love to read it!

The cloest thing to that Cait would be the Buffy comic "Memories". But personally I wasn't too keen on that perspective as it gave Dawn a bigger role than Xander in the saving of Buffy in Prophecy Girl I believe. (I say "I believe" as I only read it once as a PDF online a long while ago, haha). But I'm sure there are many fanfics out there concerning that- but I'm afraid you may have to do the long google search.

But as regards Dawn being around earlier, I always wondered how much it would effect everything else. Like would Buffy have been picking Dawn up from an after-school class and so been in the area to save Jenny? Or would Joyce have found out earlier (and hopefully in a less both-losing-tempers way) about the slaying? Would Drusilla have gotten to Dawn? I mean that could have been an interesting semi-kidnap story...

i mentioned this to insane mystic last week, i always (now) slip into the whole... what would their memories of the first 4 seasons be like, cause they wouldnt remember it the way we saw it.

Maybe the show WOULDNT have lasted seven seasons if she were in the first one. That's the maybe I find most plausible.

The only scenes i can imagine Dawn in are in Anne and Passion when Joyce comes out the car with her groceries

Dawn would probably have been kept in the background as she`d only be 12 or 13.

Ya while Dawn may have changed some things in the earlier seasons, I dont see her changing that many since she would be to young for Joyce to let her go out with Buffy after school. Buffy always snuck out of the house the first two seasons, was at the bronze and was generally out very late. Dawn would be home most of the time.

I've always thought about how the seasons pre-Dawn would be with Dawn in them, but S2 has particularly interested me there. For one thing, Dawn would have been much younger than the Dawn we meet (there's a huge difference, IMO, between a fourteen-year-old (even an immature one) and an eleven-year-old. For another thing, this is when Buffy is "outed" and I think it would have been fascinating to see Dawn's reaction to that, and to all that happened in this season. Buffy's first love, finding out Buffy was the Slayer, the fight between Buffy and Joyce, Buffy leaving town...I always think about what roles Dawn would have played.
For example, something interesting to think about, do you think Dawn knew before Joyce that Buffy was the Slayer? With her being as nosy as she is, I can imagine that happening, and Dawn covering for Buffy like she did later in the series.

I can't say for certain how different things would have been, but I'm pretty sure we'd have heard, "GET OUT!" a lot more in season 2.

I think if she were mentioned, she would be staying with her dad, so that the show could keep her out of the way. But if she was there, I think a lot would have been different. Like with Angel, for instance, when Buffy was still getting to know him. Dawn would have been reading Buffy's diary and questioning buffy about "A" and telling their mom that there was a guy. And when Angelus was around, he probably would have kidnapped Dawn or at least threatened her so that Buffy would have to find a way to get her mom to send Dawn away.

When Dawn is siting with riley on the bench by that ride thing. Dont she mention something about how buffy and Angel was? or something. I cant realy remember...

Yup. she did. She talked about how when Buffy was with Angel she used to cry a lot and it was always "the end of the world" with him. With Riley, Buffy didnt get so worked up, or something to that effect 😛
