Dawn Prelude

wow i never really understood what they said at the time but now when you look back on it, it makes perfect sense!!!! its really clever how they think so far ahead!!!

Some more "Restless" foreshadowing.... I was just reading the book "Reading the Vampire Slayer" and it pointed out something I was totally oblivious to before. You know in Willow's dream how she does her book report on "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe"? Well, in the book the lion gives up his life but then is ressurrected, just like Buffy in the end of season 5. A little far-fetched, I know, but it's still cool! 😀

It's actually going to be very interesting to see what happens when Faith and Dawn finally meet up. I think it could end up being no coincidence that all these references involve both of them.

Faith and Dawn already met!

They never did on-screen, but when Dawn was created everybody got false memories of them, even Angel, so Faith has too!

I've actually been thinking a lot about that... it seems that Buffy, Faith, and Dawn are all connected to each other. How and why, I'm not exactly sure, but I can feel something... maybe it has to do with what will happen when Sarah leaves the show? If Faith and Dawn are really connected, maybe they would take over joint duty for Buffy when she leaves. But who knows except Joss... I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

I don't know: I find it difficult to imagine Buffy leaving Dawn again (since her death I mean). I do like the idea of Faith being another big sister to Dawn though.

🙂

Maybe I don't know, but this does require Eliza to clear up her schedule in order to have Faith on board the entire 8th season.

No, Angel has never really talked about it on-screen. Like it has already been said, neither has Faith.

But Dawn did mention Angel once to Riley, about that Buffy cried less with him than she did with Angel!

Also, in the begining of "This Year's Girl," Faith dreams about making a bed with Buffy, and Buffy says that she has to go, but she doesn't want to. Faith replies, "it's okay. I know. Little sis coming." Right before she yells at Buffy for not taking the knife Buffy stabbed her with out of Faith's stomach. Wow!! So Faith knew about Dawn even before Buffy did!! Freaky!!

Did she? ... Maybe she didn't, it was just a dream sequence, nothing that happens in a dream sequence can be accounted for as real, or as a sign of a character really knowing anything, that's the beauty of dreamsequences!

I love how joss foreshadows things, but you really can't tell that he has until it has actually happened, then you can actually go back and understand those little things....joss is amazing!

Wow, this is cool. I knew about some of it, but then some of it is new.

Hey, portent experts. Any theories about what I Will Remember You was foretelling? Not the human parts but the B/A part. I know about the human parts.

If my memory hasn't been extinguished, IWRY is the one where angel becomes human, and i always thought that the Mohra or something like that demon was talking about Glory when mentioning the darkness that was about to come... but now i think it was talking about the Beast/no sun/first/no slayer thing, that sounds much dangerous than the Glory thing

I know that there are all these theories and fun discoveries about foreshadowing of Dawn, but I just find it very weird that during the episode, Buffy was like, tra-la-la, and the next thing you know, this crazy kid is here and nobody has a freakin clue where she came from....
I mean, it's like she just shows up one day and Buffy wants to know what she is doing there, like she hasn't seen Dawn in years, and yet she still remembers when she put chopsticks in her mouth when she was ten and Buffy would say "I'm going to slay you" and how she told Riley that she didn't cry as much with him as she did with Angel...

I think it is very messed up. Not that I don't like Dawn or anyting (even though she's whiny) I just find it odd, that BOOM, she's here. And we've only got the "put the energy into human form for the slayer to protect, blah, blah, blah" and that's all we got.

And, also I agree with how do you account for the memories of others? What about Willow's and Xander's, and Angel's, and everybody else.

It's magic, no asking how, they can do stuff like that! ... What should they have done then? find her long lost sister ???
