Dawn?

She is annoying, but I admit she grew on me as she 'matured' throughout the seasons. As for her role in season 5, it would have been an entirely different season. I liked the whole concept, even if it was confusing at first it all came together pretty well... imo.

It seems like I'm one of the few who likes Dawn. I love how much Buffy loves her, and I love her S5 relationship with Spike. I understand her struggles, and can relate to her. I think she does have a good heart, she's just all caught up in her teenage stuff. She'll grow out of it (I hope...).

I just remember the end of Season 4 and when we see Dawn..I was kinda like "did I miss an episode?"

But I loved Dawny. She was cute IMO. She had to deal with some real issues and I sympathize with that. It's gotta be hard to know you weren't actually real to begin with and your very existence puts the universe in peril.

I still don't understand why everyone hates dawn so much. Characters have their flaws, It's how it works. Ever character has flaws. It's interesting, therefore it keeps the show interesting. I don't think any of the characters ruined the show. I think season 5 would've been boring without her.

Time to check my horrendous spelling
Ah, there we go. Did you know I spelt boring with an H?

I didn't like her at first but now I can't imagine season 5+ without her. It does make me think about how different Seasons 1-4 would be though. I mean with Dawn being in it now and everyone having false memories how different would the high school years have been?

nah i think it was good, making buffy have a little 'sister',
even though dawn irritated me, it wouldnt be the same without her,

I feel the same way, in the beginning she bugged me, but I identify with her a lot more now, and it just wouldn't have been right without her. I love her relationship with Buffy, and Buffy really loves her, so, so do I.

Ha ha! I just watched the first two episodes of season 5 again last night for the first time in a long time.....I had the same thought. What would the show have been like without Dawn? So much happened in the Real Me. They found the Magic Shop, Harmony Came back, and suddenly we had an annoying litlle sister that Buffy seemed to find the most annoying of all. I remember watching this for the first time and going, did I miss something? lol In my opinion the way they brought dawn into the show was brilliant. She just WAS the little sister...it's interesting watching it now knowing what an important role she has to play in the future. For a long time I HATED Dawn. I thouht she was annoying as hell. In retrospect it wouldn't have been the same show without her and I'm glad they brought her in.

I liked Dawn. Dawn was the perfect little bratty teenager, I think it really gave Buffy some character progression and gave her something new to protect because frankly, her boyfriend at the time was so crap that I feel she needed something else to strive for.
I think they did a really good job of bringing her in and confusing everyone, which was obviously the plan. It made the audience keep questioning what was really going on, it was a nice little story to see unfold.

When I first saw Seaon 5 Dawn annoyed the crap out of me. Not only that, But I was so confused. I was like "Now where the hell did she come from, Did I miss something?". Then when I saw the season for a 2nd time everything seemed to make sense. In order to understand Dawn's true meaning and purpose you have to see Season 5 from beginning to end.
