Dawn's Fate

Something thyat just occurred to me. If the Final Battle that Buffy and all of the rest of the Buffyverse seems to be headed toward actually comes about, all magic and supernatural forces will be banished from this plain of existence. Now, if Dawn is basically nothing more than a mask contrived by a bunch of monks to conceal a green ball of energy capable of being used to open dimensional doors, does that mean that Dawn is going to go "POP" when the good guys win? I know that it's pretty much academic, since Buffy and all of her friends and allies are gonna get sucked away, too, but I was still just wondering what the other Board members thought.

Maybe the memory spell concealing her true identity will fade, but she herself is human, isn't she?

I'm still convinced that Dawn is Twilight, so this is moot point for me, lol 😉

But, in all seriousness, I don't think Dawn will disappear when the magic does. As far as I'm concerned, she mentions to Spike in 'Bargaining' that she's not The Key anymore, I took that to mean she wasn't magical anymore, or if she is, there are no more gates for her to open. The monks were very specfic in their spell. They made her human. They didn't just bend The Key energy into Dawn-shape.

We don't know if Dawn has any left over magic from her time as The Key, but if she does I'd imagine that would be what gets stripped away, not Dawn herself.

If Dawn were to be zapped away, then that, to me, means that they, whoever 'they' is that rids the world of magic (still not enitirely sure it's Twilight alone) would be undoing spells that have already been cast. So that would include things like Spike and Angel's souls, everyone's memories of Connor, everything Willow's done up until that point, resurrecting Illyria, the list goes on and on, and that would raise a lot more questions than it would answer.
