Dawn's name!

It's a bit odd, but so is the character, so I think it's a good name!
 
Because I've come to know her as Dawn, I'm fine with her name. But I would have called her Kate, because it's also short and pretty!
Also, if I were doing the casting, I would have picked whoever I though was best! Do you know who auditioned, apart from Michelle?
 
I think that the name Dawn is cool but i think that
it would have been really funny if she was called Trout

you know i never thought of that but that would be a good reason for her being called Dawn because a name isnt just a name and when picking a name for a character it must be really hard (well it would be for me anyways) cos you gotta think of that the character is like as well and why she is there and like you said Buffys rebirth is a pretty good reason.
 
I think Dawn is a nice and original name, I would definatly not change it if I were her.

Hope you mean Dawn, would seem kinda silly to dislike someone you very likely don't know and have never met.
 
well, personaly i don't really like her name. It just doesn't fit her very well.

I think her name should have been either more rebelious like Alexandra-Alex.

Or more preppyish-Camryn-Cam
 
It was..just a bit hard to pronounce Umad Summers sounds actually not that bad..But all foreshadowing: be back before dawn woyld have been lost...Be back before umad😉

I think that dawn was a good name for the show. Think about it the word is so symbolic. Vamp's (wich buffy slays) must be in before dawn's break, Dawn starts a new day, wich is very symbolic in that you shouldn't stay mad forever, what happened yesterday was yesterday. So this is just a couple of the reasons why I liked her name.
