[Joan the Vampire Slayer]

Well, I went in search for a thread to post my thoughts on my watch of Season 6, and noticed the thread that Tasha last posted in las had been retired. So, I hope it's cool to start a new one.

I watched this show for years when it was on air, but never got around to watching the Sixth Season. I recently rented it from the library, and I must say, I'm really enjoying it. Season 3 will always be my favorite, but I'm really loving the new characters in Season 6; Eddie, Emma, that super-hot yet crazy guy Jen was into played by Jensen Ackles (it should be illegal to be that attractive). And AUDREY. She's the greatest. Really. I love her sass.

My complaints:
Todd (Dawson's boss)...his British/Australian accent is so inconsistent! UGH. It' super-irritating. And Dawson's GF totally sucks, too.

Joey's professor. He's totally stereotypical. There is nothing to like about him.

Questions: Joey and Eddie are getting pretty close. Yet, it' strange to me that she is yet to introduce him to her friends. Considering how much Joey values her friends, this seems odd. Do any of them even know she's dating him? Maybe she thinks they won't approve. I have a feeling this will be the undoing of their relationship. After all, he hated Audrey when he trashed the bar.

Has anyone else seen this season? What did you think?

Dawsons creek is one of my favourite series ever, it comes close to Buffy/Angel.

Dc was too short 😛 i wanted more!
I was a little dissapointed who she ended up with :/
I do love Pacey, although they never really connected in s6 as much as they did when they were teenagers. ha

Yes, Jensen is in it. He's so gorgeous...he plays Jen's love interest. I went out and bought Supernatural Season One...which I plan on watching over Christmas Break...woot!

Yeah Pacey goes through the wringer in this season. Has the party at his and Jack's place happened yet? Joey tell's CJ that Jen killed Abbey Morgan with Champagne! LMFAO!

aw Dawson grew on me, i hated him in the earlier seasons..
I loved how he spoke his mind, although it was pretty annoying sometimes.

I loved Andy and Pacey together <3

I thought I didn't mind Andie first time around then I rewatched the show and realised I really wasn't that fond of her at all.

Although there is a deleted scene for the final ep where she comes back and she is as the actress wanted and not as an uptight preppy school girl and she is actually pretty endearing.

Total agreement about stockboker Pacey and that stupid smig he had. The quality dip alot once they go to college but that was definitely the lowest point.

I was always a bit hit and miss with Pacey. I liked him in 1-3, even in my Dawson/Joey love days, but I couldn't stand him in season four. He was so pathetic and woe-is-me and 'I can't bear my girlfriend being smarter than me but I'll dump all my issues with that on her' and it drove me insane.

I was always a bit 'meh' with him afterwards.

As for Andie, never really cared her about her. She was annoying when she was miserable and when she was being all 'peachy' so there wasn't much hope for her really. 😉

I love Eddie. I think he is perfect for Joey.

I do enjoy season six, but it has lost some of it's charm by this point especially in the plot/storyline department!

Examples include WHO THE HELL IS JEN'S BABY DADDY! and also Deputy Doug suddenly being gay. After spending 5 seasons disparaging this it felt wrong to just make him gay at the end.

I agree. Andie always grated on me. Yeah, Pacey is working that job now, what that d*ck of a boss of his (the same guy that played Bobby in Twin Peaks) What is Pacey thinking? He's been seduced by the dark side. I wish he'd go back to being a cook.

Yeah it was very like grasping at straws. Like they had no idea what else to do with him.

Dawson with anyone annoys me. Ok, Dawson just plain annoys. He has to be the whiniest character ever created. I always got so pissed at him for how he react to Pacey and Joey. They had broken up, he missed his chance. Stop blaming the rest of the world for you being a gobshite!

I know, right! What is Dawson thinking? The whole relationship between them doesn't seem to make any sense. First, she acts like she's jealous of Joey and that she really likes Dawson, then when asked about it, she says she was just being "dramatic" and then she sleeps with that Max Winter guy. Huh? I don't like her. As she said, Dawson just isn't built for that type of casual fling. He's too serious for that.

I think the main reason he liked her was, honestly, because he thought she was hot. Poor Dawson. He really screwed it up with Joey, eh?

I'm confused about what's going on with Eddie. He appears to be doubting Joey's intentions. Boo! They're great together, I agree Flannen...and I'm a huge Joey/Pacey shipper, so this is a lot coming from me! Eddie keeps Joey on her toes. I like that. But now, he's all thinking she's going to break his heart? Give her a chance, man! Jeez.

Well, anyway. I hope Pacey and Audrey don't get back together...and God, I REALLY hope Dawson and Joey don't either.

I was wondering what everyone thought of how the show ended?

Me? Well, I cried my eyes out. It was so sad. Yet, it seems fitting that Jen would be killed off. After all, she was always the "tragic" character, the one that never felt like she fit in. Her life cards were dealt badly, that's for sure (excuse the bad analogy).

I loved Jack's speech about Jen being his soul-mate. How sweet! I absolutely love him.

I was also happy with how everyone "ended-up", career-wise. Of course Andie became a doctor! I'm not surprised. Thank GOD Pacey went back to cooking. Joey as an edior: perfect. Jacks as teacher; totally believable. Dawson, of course he has his own show, The Creek! Ha. I love it. (Note: that girl that was cast as Joey? She doesn't look at all like Katie! Oh well.)

AND the best part: Pacey and Joey!!!!!...back in business! I knew they'd end up together. I just knew it. *claps hands in delight* They were always my favorite 'ship on the show...(except Jack/Jen of course 😉

In Eddie's defense: I did like him. I tried to give him a chance...but he left Joey because she didn't want to go to Europe with him!? Lame.

All and all, I was happy with the end. I was surprised though, that Jen had a baby (with CJ, right?). That seemed kind of random. It did, though, seem OOC for CJ to leave her to raise the baby alone. He seemed like he was shaping up to be an alright guy.
