Dawson's Creek

Yeah I think I've seen the entire show – which doesn't mean I think it's good, just that they showed reruns on Sundays when I had nothing to do. Anyways, it's entertaining. Me and Joamna are actually watching it right now, we're on season 5 and I kinda just want to finish it now... can't stand most of the characters and the storylines. Very lame.

I watched it for a while when it was airing, but when our cable company stopped carrying the WB, I stopped watching it.

Over the summer, I decided that I wanted to watch it, because I did like it. So I did. I like the high school seasons, and I absolutely love Dawson and Joey's relationship. I was very, very disappointed at the end of the show when I did not get the ending that I wanted.

I don't care to much for the college seasons...I mean, they're okay, but they just didn't have the same fire that the previous ones did.
And now I'm going to have to add it to my blockbuster list because I want to watch them again!

I not long ago got all 6 seasons from target and watched it. i love the show but not as much or no were near as much as Buffy. Go Joey & Pacey!!

I felt like the show picked up some weird pacing problems near the end of their senior year of high school and that those pacing problems bled over into the college years. In the earlier years, relationships moved really slowly. Stories focused on relationships and tensions that had been simmering under the surface for years. For example, from day one, the show did a good job of making me feel the tension between the Potter girls and their dad, so whenever he was in the picture, the story felt very thick and bogged down by years and years of resentment and humiliation and sorrow and, underneath it all, an earnest desire to forgive and move on. You felt the older sister's resentment at being prematurely thrust into the mother role and then all at once shoved out of it. You felt Joey's desire to believe in her father even when it looked like that would have been a mistake. You felt the pressure under which the dad constantly labored. Most of the stories and relationships were like that. Underneath the clever comebacks and complicated analysis, there were years and years of development and emotion.

Then, all at once, Joey and Pacey broke up for a reason that had only simmered for a month or so and the show sort of took off at breakneck speed. I found that to be problematic. I get that the characters were meeting new people and doing new things, but I felt like the core relationships and the insecurities and experiences that had made the characters feel so weighty in the earlier seasons all suffered during the college years to the extent that it didn't even quite feel like the same show.

Yea sometimes I wonder why we even bother to watch it.. I've only seen random episodes before me and epo started watching it with epo, and I can only agree with what she said, mhm.

Aww I loved how Pacey asked for Dawson's permission to kiss Joey in "Double Date" even though Joey turns him down it was still sweet that Pacey asked Dawson's permission.

That actually really annoyed me. I mean since when does Dawson the Whinging Wonder own Joey? She can kiss who she wants, and as we saw in later seasons she does😀

Well, and as much as I totally loved the Joey and Dawson relationship, after a while, the whole Dawnson/Joey/Pacey thing just got annoying after a while! I mean, come on! How much were they expecting us to be able to stand?

Evedently 6 seasons worth! It was at it's peak in season 3 but afte it gradually got more and more annoying

"Beauty Contest" Another great episode. I loved Pacey walking out onto the stage, everyone is cheering him on and he's smiling and everyone is so happy! Great Scene. Then there's Joey's scene when she's singing. So cute!! It's the perfect Joey/Dawson song! "Those people suck, how can I leave without letting them know that little known fact!" Hahaha!! Braveheart skit!! "You may take my life but you may never take my freedom!" And a happy ending!! So cute!

I sort of like it when Busy Philipps joined the cast. I don't know, it was just nice to see her regularly on a TV show after Freaks and Geeks.

Just started season 2! Joey/Dawson love is cute.. or it is in episode one 🙂 Pacey seems to be becoming my favorite character.

Alright, I'll fess up here and say I was a viewer of Dawson's Crack when it debuted, only because of Kevin Williamson's involvement in it (Ah, Kevin Williamson, how the mighty have fallen).

But once he left the show, I never watched again (except for the series finale. And for the record, Joey belongs with Dawson! This is "Dawson's Creek", not "Pacey's Creek"! 😛)

Still, I'll admit it wasn't so bad a show when I was watching it.

That was my first laugh of the day! Dawnson's Crack! :)
I have the first season on DVD. I love the show! I can't wait until Joey and Pacey hook up. They have way more chemistry than Joey and Dawson. Does the show ever jump the shark?

I just watched "The All Nighter" Max from Roswell, would have totally fit in as a regular lol maybe he wouldn't have :lmao: but he's AWESOME to see on Dawsons Creek.

Oh God, I remember loving Dawson's when it first started!

It came on telly here last year (an episode a day) and I started rewatching it. It was pretty much as I remembered - good at first (though the characters and the series took themselves way too seriously) but it started sucking pretty badly, pretty quickly. And yet I kept watching - mainly (atch, solely) for Pacey/Joey & Pacey.

Ah, Pacey, Pacey, Pacey. So lovely. Back in the day he shared bedroom wall space with Jordan Catalano.

How I hated Dawson! Urgh! So annoying!

I watched the last two episodes of the last season for the first time a few months back. Despite my best efforts I cried through most of Jen's scenes, and for like an hour afterwards. Pathetic!

I don't know if I'd put Pacey on par with Jordan Catalano, but I do admire your taste in teen heart throbs!

Totally agree, it's frakked up that he thinks he has the right to be angry with Joey and/or Pacey for being on love with each other.

I find both Joey and Dawson extremely annoying as characters. Thank god Dawson finally grows up in season 5. Imo Jen is the reason this show is at all worth watching. How cute/awesome isn't she eh?

OMG Jen just basically killed her friend in this episode. :O

Haha okay she didn't but the girl is dead ans she was right there with her
