Normally I don't rate new UK shows, as well a lot of them are just not up to par. However E4/Channel 4 have come out with some shows that do break the mould.

Has anyone see the ads for the new show Dead Set? Official Site
 
I'm really looking forward to this show! I love all of Charlie Brooker's work, especially Nathan Barley, which no one seemed to watch, hehe. He does have a really dark sense of humour which I think puts some people off. But I love it. :biggrin:
 
I've seen the adverts and it looks alright, i I'll probably watch the first episode.
 
I checked out the vids on the site and must admit they didn´t do anything at all for me. The show might still be good but it´s not like the trailers made me want to watch it. But I´m not in the UK so it´s not like it matter.
 
Oh and I can't believe I forgot to mention. It's a show with zombies! Of course I'm going to love it.:biggrin: Zombies!

Sounds like an interesting concept. Although, mixing reality TV with zombies does have a bit of a weird touch.
BUT I'm not in the UK anyway, and don't have a TV either, so....go figure

I'm having trouble accepting the concept that you don't have a tv... how does that work *hugs own tv* I love my idiot!box, how do you live without one?
OHMIGOD, this is the first I've heard of this show! Weird thing is, I used to have nightmares about that kind of thing happening on Big Brother, it's a great idea for a tv show.

This sounds REALLY cool.

If the U.S. decides to remake it (not unlikely) I would love to see it air on CBS during the summer when Big Brother is on. 🙂
 
Oh! Nathan Barley is fun 🙂 It looks interesting. Pity that UK tv is very hard to watch online, copyright rules and stuff ):

I understand that Davina is appearing in it as herself? I wonder what she'll be like.

I'll give it a try - I think the first ep is on the 27th October.

thank you for the start date... cant wait tho it does seem to cover the themes that romero has been banging on about since the 60s(but more so in diary in the case to media...) but still as for something like this getting on tv is fantastical.
