Have you seen this vid yet?

it's a brilliantly made cancer awareness spot, and as there are probably a lot of high risk group members around, i thought i post it here.

and floss your teeth goddammit!!😛

That video was terrifying, I have gotten sever sunburn a many times even with sunscreen and I am almost 16. Also my friend who is 16 has already had a type of skincancer and has had to have parts of her skin removed.

Yikes! I just got a super bad sunburn yesterday! I'm almost 16 and my family has a history of immune diseases (which I just got diagnosed with this week), and I have really light skin and numerous moles! I really hope I don't get cancer, and this video definately makes me want to wear more sunscreen. 🙁

My bad sunburns are what others consider mild. When I'm like "I'VE NEVER BEEN IN THIS MUCH PAIN EVER IN MY LIFE" my friends are like "god I wish mine was that mild!!!" Thank god for my Greek and Italian heritage. 🙂

At 27 years old, I had premelanoma, which is where you are in the earliest stages of melanoma. I had this tiny little mole on my hand that I've had since birth. When I was little, it looked like I had made a dot on my hand with a ballpoint pen, but as I got older it spread and looked more like I'd marked on my hand with a Sharpie. I never thought much of it... I went to the doc about a mole on my chest ('cause I have freckles and moles EVERYWHERE) that was a little worrysome and they diagnosed me then. I had to have outpatient surgery to have it removed, and will have to go back yearly for checkups.

Here in Norway, the effects of UV rays are part of the science curriculum for 16-year-olds. I'll take a note of this one - it would be good to have an English-teacher work with at the same time.

Wow. I just watched it. I've got brown skin, and don't worry about it too much, but my son is a redhead. We're both pretty careful about sunscreen, but watching this video reminds me I can't miss a day.

I'm so scared now. I have light skin and get burnt really easily and have gotten badly burnt many times already.

than you know what you have to do now, check your skin!

i just remembered that i actual had a growing mole on my back when i was 15. the doctor said he needs to take s tissue sample to check for cancer. i thought it woul be just a little tiny bit, so i arranged to meet with my friends at the swiming pool afterwards.

i ended up getting a 9 shots local anesthesia around the mole and the tissue sample was as big as the rubber on a rubber-pencil... i couldn't even take a shower for a week and i had to come back to remove the stitches.

the tests where negativ, but the mole was gone anyway 😀
