Death Battle: Blade vs Buffy

In case anyone wanted to see it, a breakdown of both Buffy and Blade lore before having them fight here:


Note that the lore includes books (including comic books), some of which are shown in the battle.

If you want to skip Blade and go straight to Buffy's breakdown then go to the 8-minute mark.

If you just want to see where the pair fight each other without the lore then go to the 16-minute mark (takes a couple of minutes to get started, almost the 20th minute before the pair fight each other).
 
Yes, the (preferred) happy medium between death-battle and relationship would be a nice vamp-battlin' crossover.
 
They should fight James, a vampire played by Jim from the Office based on that one prank he played on Dwight.

I watched the the video until the 23rd minute before I got so P'd off with the continuous crap fest put out there by the morons who made the video.

So, Blade had the hair style he had 100 years ago did he, really?
Given that a vampires hair grows back to how it was in minutes, note the 10 years old who cut her hair only for it to grow back so quickly in Interview with a Vampire. Note Blades hair in the films yet in that video his hair had grown, I mean Really?
As for Blade's age, compare the films to what was said in the video, I mean Really?
The battle between those two, were they meant to be Buffy and Blade . . I mean, Really?
As far as I am aware the canon only exists from the TV show, not from the film and certainly not from the comics. Though those who made that video seem to think it all is, I mean Really?
And not to put to fine a point on it, in the films the guy who portrayed Blade didn't speak in a high pitched voice, yet in the video he does, I mean Really?

Thank you thrasherpix for bringing that to our attention, but what a load of bull - that thingy stuff!

Some people LOVE the trivia and comic lore. But for those that didn't I put the advice on where to skip to on the vid instead of slogging through all that.

Blade is not actually a vampire; he's part human. So, his appearance can change and, in the films, he isn't 100 years old. The film version of Blade is 32 in the first film.

I'd add that Anne Rice vampires are very different from vampires in either Blade or Buffy. For that matter, Blade vampires did more of an explanation when mixed with Buffy lore.
Buffy Vs. Vampirella could also work well if you wanna keep with comic-book crossovers. 😉


But the one I would really love would be a Buffy-HellBoy team-up.

By the looks of it, it would actually have been possible to do that one, when Dark Horse was publishing Buffy. I don't think that they have the rights now. A missed opportunity?

Absolutely.
They could easily co-exist in the same universe; both make reference to demonic 'Old Ones' and have people with weird paranormal abilities. BPRD liaising with the Watcher's council coulda been something neat.

I got a definite Lovecraftian vibe from... the first Hellboy movie? Or maybe all of them? Though the... most recent? one in which London was attacked went a bit beyond cosmic horror.
