Death to Kennedy??

I've been looking at a bunch of buffy sites talking about how bad season 7 was and how they hate kennedy. Why does everyone hate her soo much and what was so bad about s7?😕
 
I didn't really mind Kennedy either way, but I have a friends who's a hardcore W/T 'shipper who just disliked Kennedy for becoming the "replacement."
 
Yeah I can see that, To me Kennedy's character didnt have much Depth, she was like a hot valley girl who was gay. She was a brat and a cocky $&#%@. In those last couple of eps, I so wanted Faith to just beat the hell out of her. I could say though, If the show had continued, and Iyari became a regular cast member, I probabally could have grown to love her. Especially the way Joss, developes characters. But from season 7 from what I have seen, there wasn't much there to like!
 
she was quite annoying too cocky and she looks like she smelled like spit
 
Well, this time Blake I was totally with ya up till the last comment. I really liked Season 7 despite it's flaws personally. I do wish some things had been different but I was ok with it over all. 🙂

Kennedy was sort of annoying to a point. I feel kind of bad for her character because she really didn't have that much time to develop and she came RIGHT after Tara. And let's face it, no one could really replace Tara except for maybe Oz and that wasn't going to happen. But I think Kennedy was the best potential as far as what a Slayer should be. But given more time I could have liked her.

BTW, Blake, lol, I was about to ask if your sig was from Practical Magic but then I pulled my head out of my ass and realized it's from I Only Have Eyes For You...My point? I like it. 🙂
 
LOL! I should clarify myself, when i said s7 there wasn't much there to like, I was refering to Kenedy. Perhaps you could tell but, i just went back and read what I wrote, I didn't mean I didn't like s7 except for that fact that it means no more buffy eps ever!!!

btw, "I only have eyes for you" one of the best eps of all time! 😉
 
to cocky and she had no reason to be, its okay to be self-confident but she was over the top. And making her gay was an attempt at adding interest in an otherwise uninteresting character
 
Well some people hate her because she is taking Taras place(like Riley taking Angels place in Buffys love life) and well I mostly dislike her because of her attitude, I liked her when she first appeared but after she and Willow hooked up Kennedy became annoying with the whole "My girlfriend is better then you!" and the whole "Im right your wrong"
 
Eek, couldn't stand her at all! I'm actually Willow/Oz, but I thought Tara was awesome, and it doesn't really have anything to do with her taking Tara's place for me. I just couldn't stand her, so bossy and downright annoying. Hate, hate, hate. 😛
 
Kennedy what hated basicly because she had no depth. There was nothing to like. As for season 7 being bad that is down to personal opinion. I can see casual viewers hating it because it is nothing like what it used to be. The show has developed. But there are reasons to hate season 7. Even though it was the last season it was far from perfect. Characters with no deph turned up and many plot lines were left hanging to name just a few. Also non-Spuffy fans would have been made sick by all the love going on between Buffy and Spike.
 
Yea i agree with you No Angel. Kennedy didn't have any depth. She was very pushy which was not like Tara at all. And I think that Willow got over Tara too quickly. I think Tara would have wanted that, but for the fans Kennedy was a quick replacement. I'm not a hardcore W/T fan but I still liked them and Kennedy was just nothing compared to Tara.
 
Kennedy was too bosy and I didn't like her attitude..I liked W/T,but I could have stand the replacement if the girl was normal...Kennedy was just irritating..

Oh yea, I forgot to add why I wasn't really keen on Season 7. There was alot of stuff left hanging, and it was sorta a boring Season, nothing compared to the Seasons before. I always thought BtVS would go out with a bang, but I personally liked Season 3 as a better ending for BtVS, or even Season 5. As a non-Spuffy fan, I wasn't too bothered by it (well, I was angry at the episode touched because of the stolen quote from Angel) but it was still better then Spuffy Season 6. And the scoobies seemed to be drifted apart in Season 7 and 6. I missed the interaction between them in all other Seasons.

All in all, Season 7 was better then Season 6 but I still found it boring, along with the big bad.
 
yeah i thought kennedy was a brat and she was bossy and just annoying. I liked Tara much better and i thought they were better together
 
At first she was okay, I loved the "Don't hog the sheets" comment, and Willow's face. Plus I liked the way Willow wasn't kept in gay celebacy like many characters on TV. But Kennedy was bratty and took over command one too many times. She gained the Slayer Superiority Complex too soon.
 
She was to cocky, definatly. Remember in that one episode when all the potentials are outside? She calls Chloe a "potential". What does she think she is? Hello! You're a potential Slayer too, Kennedy. She dared to go against Buffy, being a key role in the reason she left. Who the hell is Kennedy to boss people around?
 
I liked Kennedy. Maybe it was a bit too quick after Tara but I think that Willow has a right to be happy and if Kennedy makes her happy then it's ok for me. 🙂 And Kennedy was definitely the best potential slayer! 🙂
 
She was indeed.I'd like to see her die,but I think Willow wouldn't deserve it...But I'd switch her death with Anya's...
 
I don't understand u well guys, coz actually, Kennedy was 'necessary' for Willow I think.

Of course, Tara was Willow true love, she was amazing, & nobody could replace her, but if we think for a min, we can figure out that Kennedy helped Willow a lot to go out of her despair.

I mean, we can't change it, Tara is dead, so, from this fact, should we want that Willow stay alone for the rest of her life ?
Kennedy helped Willow to find confidence again into the magic, & into her power, her ability.
Willow thought she wouldn't be able to do some huge magic stuff, because she thought she would be again the Scary Veiny Willow. And she thought she would be SVW again because no one was with her to make her safe, to make her come back, as Tara did before.
So, Kennedy, with her attitude, allowed to Willow to become again powerful and confident, as she said with the kite metaphor.
If Kennedy wasn't the kind of girl she is, the one to make the first step and to make Willow go out from her shell, it wouldn' t have worked. Cause Willow was too much broken, & still mourning Tara's death, & was unable to really live again.

To make it short, I would say that Willow would never forget Tara, who was her true love, but she couldn't spend her life to think to the love she lost, and since it was the last season, Joss bring her someone new to build a realtionship, so that Willow could be one of those who saved the world.
