Willows has really turned a 180 since the shows beginings. From a scared little girl to a magic throwing bag girl. I agree that the message love-conquers-all should've stayed.
I think it would and could go on. I mean it survived when Giles left and he in my opinion was more valued than Willow. Each season the show evolves and changes and that is a good thing.
