OK, here it is. I'm itching, itching good, for a good debate.
My problem is, I don't know what I wanna debate, so someone got any ideas?

ANYTHING from TV plot to current affairs or Star Trek vs Star Trek via Stargate and Babylon 5.
Something to sink my teeth into.

Please leave a list of topics you would like to have a debate on and your stance on it.

Well I'm captain of my schools debating team (which by the way does not make me a nerd or anything close to it). Our last topic was Should the Death penalty still be used?

Ohhh thats something i could totally debate on lol and actually have a bunch of times just because

Also debated on Voting I think every woman should vote once in their life at least, i mean we moaned and fought so hard to get that right we should honnor it

yeah, but im trying to think of something that will keep us going for a while. I mean with those, one or two posts tops and you've said all you have and you're bored.

Faith looks better in leather pants but Buffy looks real good in those skin tight red ones she wore in the season 4 promo pics.

Oh, wait.. Death Penalty, right...

How many sub-plots should a show have before it becomes too frustrating to watch? For example Lost has about a dozen on the go and a lot are forgotten whereas Heroes has about 4/5 sub-plots and the show is moving forward keeping the viewers attention.

OR

Is it appropriate for a fanfic writer (particularly the current BB award winning storyteller) to start a story (2 to be exact) then just abandon them? Could it be writers block or has the fame of his award from last year made him think it is beneath him to continue his stories for the people that voted for him to win that award last year?

Two topics now debate/discuss

I LOVE that!
How about how much is RTD influenced by Joss whedon, that we see much of his shows influence in his latest work?

Ahem...

I agree on what you say about lost sadly i have to wait for the dvds as it went to sky one which brings me to another debate should Channel four be able to get away with "loosing" their shows?

What's RTD?
I don't mind all the Lost sublots, it's just that they dole out tantalizing island info in such micro-increments, you'd think it was a 3 panel cartoon soap in the funny pages.

And since they've split up the main group of "good guy" islanders...something about the new dynamic, just getting tedious...

Prozac for cats: yay or nay?

See too many sub-plots that most people have forgotten the tent dudes. Who are either Portugese or Spanish why? Oh another sub-plot.
I think the islanders will be reunited in February. 😉

The whole tediousness of the first six episodes of season three was probably more due to ABC's scheduling technique this season than anything else, I can understand why the writers would do what they did, and they did promise the show would kick it into high gear when it returned.

What is RTD?

I must admit lost is getting too long winded.

All I know is answers better be in the first couple of shows. Like the two guys in the tent in the Arctic, why she (can't remember her name) sent the two guys into the Arctic and what to monitor. What's with the four toed statue. What about Walt and Michael? What did Walt give the Others that they let them go. Where does the cable that fed the hatch come from?
But yeah the Lost moment of Jack with an Asian girl in bed is what will make me want to watch the show when it returns. More sub-plots and less answers.

Ooh, yeah, what's up with the arctic dudes...
I have seen the first 6 episode of the 3rd season of lost - i wont spoil anything but you will find a few things out but still be confused

Well if it stops the spraying sure plus if you run out of prozac for junior you can raid the cats stash. lol.

Yeah, I don't even have a cat, I shouldn't be a part of that debate, heh. Pump em full of the stuff...go ahead...

...I'll take some...

The little, emphasis on little, info from the first 6 shows of season three could have been revealed in one show. So the other 5 were a total waste of time which did not propel the show's story forward.
To prove my point Lost came in 2nd in it's time slot 2/3 times. Criminal Minds is starting to steal Lost viewers. The writers are starting to 'out write' themselves just like they did on Twin Peaks.

I don't have a cat either but all the neighbourhood cats use my yard as their personal kitty litter box. So I'm thinking of putting prozac out in the spring so they don't spray my front door, garage door, patio furniture etc. Nothing like enjoying a nice spring day with the scent of cat piss in the air.
I want to get a bbgun but Mrs. TT has put the nix on that idea.
