'Deep Down' - 4.01 Discussion Thread

The ep totally blew me awy. and I agree at first I thought that when Fred zapped Conner that it was another of angel's dreams. I liked the opening scene alot though. the thankgiving was sweet untill it turned horid for angel. Still to see them all together and happy was nice. although we should have known cordy would be elsewhere in the beginning I love the end shot of Cordy saing she's bored!🙂 Just Fabulous!

I thought it was interesting though that even though Angel kicked Conner out he said that he still loved him.(awww)

yeah, i saw the premiere this thursday here where i live...that was amazing. the whole hallucination thing was crazy but i really enjoyed it. wes is playing a fine line here and at one point, i thought lilah was too (saying she was sleeping with wes for no apparent tactic to her boss). as for connor...well...vincent's acting was pretty good for this ep 😉 i hope he sort of earns his way back to angel again. same goes for wes (although i think they're somewhat taking the whole 'he made his choice' a little too sharply) and poor cordelia...i loved her line at the end 😀

good episode.. thought there was a bit too much recapping early in the episode though, especially with wesley and justine in the boat.
best parts were the scene at the end with angel's speech to connor, and the first scene with the whole cast, great stuff. thought cordelia on the higher plane or whatever was kind of lame though, but at least they still fit her into the dreams and hallucinations.. lorne too.

just one thing though, angel hasn't eaten, and has hardly moved, for three months, and he looks pretty much exactly the same as before he was trapped, and hasn't visibly lost any weight. no big problem, it just doesn't make alot of sense. i'm really just caring too much though, heh.

I think Fred has become quite a strong character. Like many of you, I thought the dawg and bro stuff was hilarious.

I thought the episode was wonderful, and I really like Wes's development. But, I was so disgusted to see him with Lilah like that. I know we saw them last season, but for some reason I was so much more disgusted this time.
