Need some tweaking or else all vampires would be souled since they were converted from humans

If the human soul left the body at the moment of death, what remained to become a vampire is just an animated corpse, no soul. Angel and Spike are unique in that, through unnatural means, they are ensouled. Likewise, sentient demons, such as Clem, as opposed to those who are the demonic equivalent of animals, would have souls. Lorne isn't technically a demon, he's more accurately an alien, the equivalent of a Martian, a member of the dominant race on his home world.
