I've had another terrible relapse. This is the quickest I've ever suffered another one.

It came back about 4 days ago. I'm worried that my medication has stopped working.

I take two dozes of Fluoxetine a day, and I think I may have missed 4 dozes as I stupidly got mixed up with which pills I was supposed to take.

I suffered depression in this October. It was hell for an entire month, but at the start of November my anxiety went away after going back on my pills for a few weeks.

Now however it's back and is as bad as it ever was. I'm terrified that it's because my pills stopped working, but I'm hoping that it's because of my missed dosages. Obviously I'm not going to get any medical advice here. I'm going to contact my doctor tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has been through a similar problem.

Anyone else been through missed doses?

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. Yes, I have experience with missing doses and messing up my meds. It's always an evil experience imo. Buy yourself a Dosset box, this will help you to keep track. My friend used to be on that and yer, if she missed doses for whatever reason, it was harsh. It's not a drug you take when feeling low. It's one you stick to even if you're feeling better in my experience. It's an antidepressant and if you want to come off it you have to do it under the supervision of a doctor.

Good luck and if you ever need to talk feel free to pm me x

Thanks for that. I really hope this is temporary as the pain is just so big and consuming.

Just in case it's relevant...

Someone I know got a new discount diet coke from Safeway. I was okay with it but fell into a deep depression. At the time I thought it was because of all the stress, but I got over it, and would've thought no more about it, but when I had more of those discount cokes it hit me hard again that lasted for days. At that point I realized it was a chemical reaction. Since I've stopped drinking them, lingering and strong feelings of depression (as opposed to sadness, grief, and stress, which I point out as too many can't tell the difference) haven't come back.

Gods, it makes me fear for my depressed friend even more. I don't think I could live like that, if that was normal for me.

Even if that's not the case with you...meds can react to diet. Even a special blend of tea can alter the chemistry of the meds when other types of tea won't have an effect, and thus the effects. Have you been ingesting something new that could be interacting with the meds? (Alternately, maybe the company have been cutting prices on how they make them.)

It is a real pain living with tablets especially if you have a doctor who is best described as a quack. There are that many tablets out there that have so many debilitating side effects, many doctors are like that as well.
If you can, find a way to naturally deal with the ailment its better than taking tablets and by that I mean ailments that you can be deal with safely.
