I don't know why I've been thinking about weddings so much. But when I DO get married, I want it to be in a forest, at night. With lots of flowers, wine, and medieval music. I'd wear a dress with lace, pearls, and tiny crystals. *sigh* (Damn it, where is my soul mate?! I want to get married!) I'm intrigued by the hand fasting ceremony...oooh, and there'd have to be a full moon...

Anywho, what is YOUR dream wedding? Enquiring minds want to know. 😉

I love these ideas:

Well, it starts in a flying church, and this toaster wearing a cassock has a shotgun and wants me to marry a dolphin and I'm like, 'No, I want to marry _____' (the name varies but its usually a fictional character).
So anyways I jump out of the church and parachute to safety, but I land in the sea in an area which has many other dolphins that are related to the dolphin I just jilted. Then I wake up.

I have surreal dreams.

Bleugh! I hate fungus. It's the bad cheese though. lol
My SO and myself at the home affairs office, the line is short and we're out in an hour.
Later that day we have lunch with friends.

I have modest dreams.

I guess one where I live to see the day I actually get married in the first place. (Finding the right person is hard work! Mind you I'm not looking much at the moment). The style and format of my wedding well, that'd depend on what my partner would want as well and what our common interests were as I'd love a soft theme to it. Spring or Summer unless you're talking Christmas 😀

Edited that for you!

I don't know really, but something small probably not with any particular theme.

I want to get married on a beach because it's free 🙂
You'd think so but it's actually typically not. Well not in most US beaches anyway. But it's all more complicated than you would think, park permits and contracts with the county or city. I didn't do a beach wedding but my uncle did one and I did the "coordination" for it. It was a small thing like 20 people or so. He wanted to "keep costs down" and he actually managed pretty well but it wasn't free!

I love weddings, I've been planning little weddings etc for friends forever and so as you can imagine I have been planning mine since I was like idk 10? It's not often that expectation meets reality in my life but I do think that I got pretty close in my wedding. A few things I'd change here and there like - I would have changed the church it was too bright and modern, I wanted an older world feel. But otherwise, it was pretty close to my "dream". It was alot of red roses and gold overtones an old Spanish theme. I'll share some decor photos in case anyone is curious. 🙂

Really, what did he have to pay for? Because I'd understand having to reserve a part of the beach to stop the public from coming in but I personally wouldn't mind onlookers lol

He had to pay for a "beach permit", in Texas anyway the beach is like a park, so it's run by the City. So he has to pay the City for a permit to have the wedding. That doesn't prevent people from coming and being at your wedding or watching you, it just gives you permission to hold the wedding there. I guess you can try and be super slick about it and get married real quick and hope the police doesn't come by and ask for a permit. lol Also if he wanted to have drinks etc, he had to pay an additional tax. There was a little alcove area next to the area he got married and it's also part of the city and if we wanted to have food and drinks we had to pay an alcohol permit as well.

I think that's it for the beach usage. We had to pay obviously the person marrying them, for the rentals (the chairs) then everything else was just food drink and cake which was pretty casual.

Wow the beach is a lot more hassle than I thought lol

And this reminds me of the wedding from the The Vow where they tried to get married in the museum and they ran them off! That was a great wedding:

I love that movie
I'm getting married next year! (On Buffy's birthday-best coincidence since it's also our anniversary!)

I'm going with a winter, woodsy look. Indoors, with trees, lanterns, and lights. Colors are white, cranberry red, and gold. I love weddings!!! Planning my own has been super fun, though the prices are a little crazy for some of the wedding services!!

I've never thought much about my wedding, but after seeing the Disney dream weddings, I want that! A Beauty and the Beast themed wedding, blue and gold! On a ship! That's my dream wedding.

Oh r-e-a-l-l-y and are you going to tell you significant other about the Beast?
I've had a big wedding already. If I were to do it again, it would be on a beach in the Caribbean at sunset, just me and my fiance and the officiant. I'd have a bouquet of stargazer lilies and we would have a little cake decorated with them too.
