Details for 3 earthquakes NE of New Zealand

The first of 7.3 was at 2.27am
the second of 7.4 was at 6.41am
the third of 8.0 was about 35 minutes ago was at the Kermadec Islands north east of New Zealand
several tsunami warnings have been issued.

Yes @nightshade, as far as I'm aware. Tsunami's have begun to affect New Zealand's north Island and are expected to hit for the next 90 minutes. Coastal (mass) evacuations have begun.

There are news update by New Zealand but you may need a translator and a map.

thankfully it wasn't as bad as initially thought, but they didn't know that until it hit.
