Did anybody else feel like crying and feel really upset in Home (S4 EP22) when Angel looks into the 'happy family scene' with Connor and his new family, when he sacrificed Connor for Connor's wellbeing and happiness. 🙁

Yes, the whole situation with Connor being kidnapped, raised to hate Angel and then placed to live with another family was extremely sad. My heart broke for Angel in that moment.

It's so funny hearing what you said and seeing your banner!

if only Angel could have raise Connor himself...would have been precious.
Definitely feel bad because this happens in the world today. Granted the captor may not turn the son/daughter against the parents, but if the child is found so many years have been lost and what could have been never was. At least Angel created a balanced Connor that continued even after Connor got his memories back.

Sure I felt sorry for Angel but it was dissappointing for Angel to turn his back on his morals for Connor who treated Angel horribly to begin with and betrayed the cause by becoming Jasmine's bitch and helped her on her murder spree. It would have been better if Angel had stood up to Connor instead he just listened to the bull about Angel letting Holtz taking him, Connor was broken by his own actions not Angel's mistakes, not a fan of Home at all. Wesley comes off better by trying to burn Lilah's contract, Home lead to LA being hell and AI basically being destroyed for no good reason so not impressed by Angel buying into Connor's self pitying and feeling sorry for himself, it sucks that the writers didn't make Connor work for his redemption which would have been more compelling, less of a cop out, and Angel would have looked better, in Home Angel's downfall begins.

Even though it was like pressing the reset button, as if the whole Connor storyline didn't happen, I still really enjoyed this episode and the end scene. Very bittersweet.

I actually think that I cried. I can't remember exactly but I bet I did. I always do when it comes to Angel and these characters. The scene was so sad it was good for Connor but heartbreaking for Angel.

I remember feeling pretty pissed off when I first watched it. It felt like the whole Darla becoming pregnant and staking herself was for nothing. 🙁

That moment always solidifies why Angel is my favorite male in the universe. Takes a true champ to kill your prophecy child only to have him live again underneath someone else's roof.

Zeppo, are you being serious or sarcastic?

Yes I feel incredibly sad for Angel, but he chose this. I disagree with citiegal, I don't think Angel had another option at that point. Connor was going to kill himself & Cordy, everyone in that store, and however many blocks/miles away that those bombs would reach. Yes it would've been interesting to see Connor work through that, but it seemed like this was the only thing that was going to work. Angel had tried reaching out to him, tried including him. Connor felt betrayed on a lot of different levels. I haven't read the Angel IDW comics yet: did Connor have to work through all that stuff in those? He did get his memories back, so maybe having that fabulous "new" upbringing would've given him the strength to work through all the other stuff.

Besides, Angel then goes to see Buffy, who promises him "cookies". 😀

Haha! Serious! I just re-read it, and it could totally be taken as sarcasm.
I don't have any problem with Angel wanting to save Connor and keep him from harming not only himself, but Cordy and countless other people in the next nine mile radius. But, what I do have a problem with, is the executive decision that he made which both directly and indirectly had negative effects on his friend's safety and their lives, not to mention the fact that by making that decision he essentially performed a mind-rape on all of their minds.

Yeah, BIG PROBLEM with that.

No. Not really. Especially when one considers what Angel had sanctioned for Connor's "well being and happiness". What he had done was sickening.

I think it's interesting - Angel understanding what sacrifice is after being sacrificed himself ("Becoming" season 2).
