Series Premier last night on ABC. It's about an alien invasion disguised as friendly first contact with advanced aliens. It had both Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin from Firefly in it. Morena Baccarin is the alien leader. It was pretty good.
 
I watched it and was very happy with the episode. Plus I was a big fan of a lot of the actors that were in the show! The idea of having some alien race popping in right when we need them the most is always interesting!
 
Yeah, great show from the 80's. Love the cheesy special effects...

...Wait, V started airing again?
 
It was a good enough episode. I'll keep on watching. Things went a bit fast though. Had been better with a double episode. And it felt way too obvious that
Alan Tudyk would play a visitor.

Mr. Slayer, yes, I had the same thought. It is quite possible that it was intended to be a two-hour premier yet when some of the later reported troubles began to happen they wanted the episode truncated. It certainly FELT as if there were parts missing.
 
I saw the original 2 miniseries and the TV show when they first aired. The Visitors' actual purpose wasn't any surprise from the very first, but it was still a pretty decent show. Haven't seen the new one yet.
 
Yes, it did go way to fast and I think a two hour premier would have been better and things would have flowed more smoothly.

I did and I wasn't completely sold. Agree that it felt a bit rushed, not nearly enough time to get into it and besides Elizabeth Mitchell's character none of them really stuck with you. But I totally cracked up at the comparison of the Visitors with Obama's health plans. That was hilarious.

We'll see, might have to give it a few more episodes before I decided whether or not to stick with it.
 
Eh, I saw it. Did not love it, did not hate it. I dunno, I may tune in again.
 
I saw the first ep and nothing new for me as i've seen the original when it first aired so I know the storyline. However, it was still a good watch 🙂
 
It reminds me of The 4400, especially when The Priest showed up.

Did the visitors ask The Tall Man from "Phantasm" if they could borrow his Sphere Ball? :whistle:
 
It has a lot of potential, but isn't really working for me yet. I will continue to watch though. As stated above, it felt rushed and has too many characters who just haven't clicked with me. Fantastic production values though, it looks amazing - I just hope the stories can match the look of the show.
