I was just watching it again and Kralik took a picture with a terrified Joyce.
Vampires can't be caught on film!
Is this a goof or is it like the video camera thing?
Which I also don't get.

As Cordelia says in "Are you now or have you ever been" (AS2E2[i think]), it's not that vampire's don't photograph, they just don't photograph well.
:]

And there was a photo of Drusilla in buffy s2, i think it was lie to me? And spike was on camera in storyteller. I've never heard that vamps couldn't be video'd or photograph

I don't get it either. There was a pic of Angel in "Are you now are or you ever been" too. When Cordelia said: "It's not that vampire's don't photograph, they just don't photograph well" And I think Andrew asked in Storyteller why you can't see vampires on pics, but you can see them on video

It was explained on "Moonlight," which, I know, doesn't have anything to do with the Buffyverse, but still makes a good bit of sense. Old style cameras used a mirror as part of their mechanism. Since a vampire has no reflection in a mirror, they couldn't be photographed. New digital cameras, however, don't use mirrors, so they would work on Angel, Spike, or any other vampire. As I said, not part Buffy canon, but it might be the explanation, nonetheless.

Yeah, but it wouldn't explain the Drusilla picture.

I'm going to stick with the moonlight theory so my head doesn't explode!
If you've seen season 7 Andrew ask's himself and buffy the same thing in storyteller.
