Hey, look at this, posting my first thread. Woot, indeed.

Anyway, who really likes Harriet the Spy? I absolutely love that movie. I think Michelle did such an uber amazing job in it, for a child actress, her performance was great. Rosie O'Donnel rocked the house too, and the plot was great.

I always thought that Harriet would grow up to need prozac, lol.

But yes, any thoughts?

Yes!!! That was like my favorite movie when I was younger! Michelle was awesome, and when I first saw Dawn I was like, "Hey, its Harriet the Spy!" lol, it was sad though, I felt bad for Harriet in the movie 😛

edit- I am going to rent that this weekend haha

I havn't seen it all the way through but I was flicking through the channels and saw it on, I was like "ahhhh its ickle Michelle!"

That was my favorite movie when I was younger! Michelle was awesome, and so was Rosie O'Donnel. Then when Dawn came I didn't rilize that she palyed Harriet the Spy. Till I wached it agian and I was like "That's Dawn". It was cool. I so love that moive. Now I want to go and rent it. I think I might just do that..

i loved this movie.. ive seen it loads.. i didnt realise it was 'dawn' till like season6 of buffy.. im slow.. it was a good movie though.. i used to have a diary like the one she had and me and my friends always used to pretend we were spys...

That was a movie? I thought it was a TV show? Well, either way, I loved watching that. I never knew that was her though. I knew I had seen her somewhere before...but I didn't know from where though.

I love Harriet the Spy!!! Those books were definitely some of my favorites when I was younger. And when the movie came out, I was so excited. Michelle Trachtenberg was awesome in the role of Harriet, I also liked Rosie O'Donnell's part. Great, great movie. That was one of her first big roles, and she did wonderful in it! I also recognized her from Harriet the Spy the first time I saw her on Buffy. It took a few episodes before I was convinced that it wasn't Harriet. 😉

I loved that film and thought MT was great in it. When i first saw her in Buffy i also thought 'Hey its the wunna be spie girl!.

I knew I had seen her in something, I just couldnt work out what. I remember reading the book, when I was probably 9 or 10, but I think I only saw the film once. But it features one of my favourite poems The Walrus and the Carpenter. Does anyone else like this poem?

I thought the film was great, michelle was really good and even now when ever i see michelle i think harriet the spy instead of dawn lol I especiall liked the nanny women, gully i thought she was cool and had loads of good advice

I liked Michelle in this film as this is one of my fav films  and she didn't irritate me at all as opposed to when she was in Buffy, but I think I mentioned in another thread she grew on me in Buffy...Anyhoo I did like her as Harriet and I felt sorry for her when everyone ganged up on her 🙁

Did anyone try to play town like she did in the film?

my friends and i tried to play it, but like the character Sport we found in boring and decided playing outside was better

I saw this movie when I was little and I loved it. I had read the book before the movie and loved it as well.
