Did anyone figure out who Cordelia was before we were told? *Possible Spoilers*

Well I suspected that there was something wrong or at least odd going on with her, but I just believed it was rather a character development and something that is easily explainable. Obviously in fact it was, but nothing like I imagined or would have been able to point my finger on. I would have to have a look at the story again to see, whether there were clear signs for it. As one says in German: "Wink mit dem Betonpfeiler...", or "Zaunpfahl". Any way, I don't think it's that easy to spot.

can't help but grin at "Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl"... as the German dub also used that as translation for "shiver me timbers" XD
Nah, the character was different, and after watching it recently you can see that it's a massive difference but at the time, it just wasn't noticeable

Well the thing was she had just come back from a higher plane and wasn't herself anyway due to memory loss. So at that point she was pretty unpredictable. And in that time she grew closer Connor already. They even kissed once I believe´. Anyway, then when she did get her memory back she still had that more or less closure to Connor. So when she started sleeping with him, which otherwise would've been COMPLETELY unbelievable, at least didn't seem to be coming completely out of the blue. Well, and from that on her relationship with Angel was also kind of tainted, so that's why we didn't have any scenes like the ones in season 3 where they are pretty close.
So that's why I didn't notice it.

Hey guys, I changed the thread title to something a little less spoilery🙂

I'm sorry, but that's not all that much better. Plus, it's not "possible" spoilers when there are huge ones in the first post. I still think it gives away far too much - something a thread title should NEVER do.
thread should be
"Did anyone suspect Cordy was evil before she started having sex with her godson, turned all eye-whitey, tricked everyone into freeing Angellus, killed some doe-eyed blonde girl, and had a little demon crawling around in her?"

That's the one! ;P
Sweetescape

why isn't it? is the perfect title! ;)

that doe-eyed blonde girl was CUTE! I felt so bad for her. Figures. STUPID Connor would rather listen to yucky Jasmine in Cordy's body than the beautiful Darla.
I didn't realize it was necessary to post spoiler warnings for episodes of a TV show that aired in 2002...my eternal bad.

Eternity is not long enough for the crimes you have committed.

There are people who haven't seen it yet. It's common courtesy to keep it out of topic titles which pop up under new posts.

hahaha
I apologize for the double post but I just want to respond to Lindsey's comment on my last post, and as I can't comment on my own post...

Why are you being so rude over something so small? I've never been in a forum environment before where spoiler warnings were necessary or really excercised by the regular posters. My understanding of a "spoiler" is that if I were to see a sneak preview of an episode of a TV show or a movie or something, basically something that was NOT yet available for mass consumption, that THAT would require ma spoiler warning. I didn't think it constitued a "spoiler" to make a specific comment about stuff that originally aired on television in 2002 and has been available on DVD all over the world for ages. It's not "common courtesy"...it differs board to board. If that's the spoiler policy for this particular board, then I'll happily abide by it, but there was a much more pleasant way you could have gone about expressing your "dismay" at my truly horrendous decision to post a vague spoiler in a thread topic title. I apologize if you've had your viewing experiences ruined in the past by spoilers, but don't take it out on me. Thank you.

I've not once been rude. I said that there were spoilers in the title, there was no need for there to be spoilers in the title, they can ruin a persons enjoyment of the twists in season 4, and that it's common courtesy not to impose such a thing on someone else. Regardless of the fact that the show aired years ago, there are still many new members on here who have not seen it all, or even any of it. It is the "Buffy Boards", after all. Spoilers in a topic are fine - it's only to be expected, but putting them in the title was simply inconsiderate.

If I had deliberately been attempting to be malicious, then yes, very inconsiderate. However I've just acknowledged that having to put spoiler warnings in thread titles is not something I'm used to, so I don't feel it was necessary to be so "forward" in your disapproval and to continue commenting on how rude and inconsiderate I am. Like I said, there was a nicer way you could've gone about it. If you weren't trying to be rude I apologize, but your posts certainly come across that way.

Ok, calm now.

It's been done, the title has been changed to add the spoiler warning, so why do we get back to discussing the topic?

And on that note...I had no idea she was evil. The first time I realized it was when she stabbed Lilah. But maybe I'm just slow, lol.

exactly as slow as I was, so don't worry ^^
I honestly can't really recall... actually I think on Angel's first run I watched it sporadically, just kinda caught episodes here and there (I KNOW, crazy :silly: ) So I'm thinking that I probably missed out on alot first time around, so i probably just tuned in one day and BAM Cordy was evil, lol. I just recently went through the entire series again and looking back there are of course a gazillion clues but yeah, without having known I probably wouldn't have clued in till we saw her stab Lilah... its STILL shocking to see even now.

I knew that she was evil when she came back from the higher plain, it was very suspicious lol. I always figure out the baddies, secrets and stuff in all the shows i watch. I don't just watch shows, I also like to guess and think of what could happen, and what is going on.

I honestly had no idea she was evil. I mean, there was obviously something wrong with her...but When she killed Lilah I was like, "What!?"

I knew she was evil before she killed Lilah but i couldn't figure out how or why or what was going to happen. But i thought the whole evil thing was bit rubbish for Cordy..i didn't like it at all!

Yup...Lilah was my next favorite character after Cordelia, so when she killed her I didn't know whether to go "whoa Cordy, you badass!" or "OH MY GOD, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

It was a very complicated time...😀
