Did anyone notice that as Willow & Tara's relationship progressed, Tara's stutter/speech impediment kind of went away? I thought that was interesting. Willow helped Tara come out of her little shell.....heheheeh.
 
Yup i noticed that too...I thought it was neat how it happened and it kinda showed how the needed each other to grow. In this case tara needed willow to become a more confident person. I think it made their relationship better and stronger
 
haha. now that you mention it, it kinda did yes 🙂 aww im gonna go watch seasons 4,5 ,6 i havent watched buffy in ages. willow did help tara come out of her shell, i guess it made her more confident in speech as well. heh
 
Well totally. It started changing kind of immediately I guess, and in season 6 she is just generally way stronger and more secure than in season 4. I guess it's a lot thanks to Willow (like she sings), but also having to stand up for herself, when it comes to her relationship with Willow. I don't think she ever grew as much as a person as in season 6 from before and after her breakup with Willow...
 
Yeah, I kinda noticed it.

It just comes to show they really were soul mates. They did need each other to grow and develop more as people.

Definately. I think it shows what love can do for a person. She was so timid and meek and her family didn't really think that highly of her. Then she falls in love with someone who loves her back and it gives her the strength to go and also to eventually be confident in herself.
 
Wow, I'm glad there was such feedback from my little comment. Hehe. Tara needed Willow, and Willow needed Tara. Perfect harmony. I love it.
 
What i loved about tara's development was how subtle thay made it. What was interesting about their relationship as well was that in seasons 1-3 Willow was quite shy and quite herself, but with tara she was the confident and dominant one in the relationship.
 
willow wasnt always the confident, dominant one though. if she was always dominant, tara might have always been in her shadow and have less room to grow. clearly, thats not the whole case, because tara can grow even when willow had control, but still, when willow starts having trouble with the magic, tara kind of takes control of the relationship. besides having confidence because of willow, and the whole thing in 'family', i think her being able to take control because willow was falling helped her grow. ...not that willow and tara breaking up, or willow having issues with magic was a good thing 🙁.
 
i totally agree- i think dominant was maybe the wrong word, what i mean is that Willow became a much stronger person in this relationship than before, i think they both brought out the best in each other. But- and please don't slaughter me for saying this but its the only way I can explain what I mean. Willow was like the traditional Male figure in this relationship ( I don't mean butch) out of tara and willow anyway.
 
I noticed.
In season four she stutters in practically every sentence, as the episodes and seasons progress, she still has a slight stutter, but it's basically gone. I think it's mostly because she got used to being around the Scoobies so she was more at ease with herself.
 
Yeah you can also that she was more confident in Tabula Rasa. When she, willow xander and dawn are running from the vampire, she kinda takes lead and choosing were to hide, she helps them get of the latter, and is just more helpful in a leader type way.
 
in 'older and far away', she stands up for willow when she doesnt want to do magic, and anya wants to make her. she stands up in front of anya all brave, even though anya is sort of losing it right then.
 
Well being with Willow and Willow's friends, making her friends Tara's friends...I think it was just a nice transition for her. She was able to come out of the lonely shy shell she was in, because all of the scooby gang was outgoing and fun, and that was new for Tara. Which of course was great for her, no more stuttering. 🙂
Of course not the only positive thing to come out of it tho.
