You love me, too? Awww..that warms the cockles of an old man's heart (let's just keep it our little secret. Lady avenger's not only a jealous woman, she's a damn fine shot!)

Ok deal....

(P.S. Bangel4Ever!)

You mis-spelled "Spuffy" again. It doesn't start with an "A", and on that final note, I've gotta go help Lady A put up the Christmas decorations.

Let's just end with an agreement: Buffy loves her vampire. Okay?

Yeah...her vampire Angel:tongue:

I voted yes, i mean she said to spike i love you and spike never really did...(well not that i remember)
So the question for me is did spike really love buffy?

Please ignore Miss K and her vindictive accusations. You will find that we in the Spuffy ranks are the most gentle, kind, and tranquil of fans, because we know that our favorite Slayer (Buffy) and our favorite vampire (Spike) are indeed a match made in the highest realms of Heaven. Those of the Bangel ranks are to be pitied, not punished or ridiculed, for they remain faithful to a premise both absurd and impossible, to wit, that Buffy Summers, after experiencing the all consuming fire and ecstasy of a perfect lover in the body and soul of William the Bloody, known to those millions of fans and admirers as Spike, could ever return to the adolescent infatuation that constituted a relationship with the lesser vampire who chooses to call himself Angel, but who is known to the truly enlightened as "Ol' Broody," "Liam the Lame," "The Vampire Who Truly Sucks," and my personal favorite, "Who?"

Edit:

Miss K, on a technical note, one would "taste" sour grapes, not "see" them, as there is no way to judge flavor by image. Secondly, delusions apply to fantasies that one believes to be true (that Buffy would ever go back to Angel after coming to "know," in the Biblical sense, her soul mate, Champion, and one true love, Spike, for example). Thirdly being swept along in a maelstrom of passion and fire is not being "cought up" in anything. Bangels are "cought up" in butterfly nets and carried away to a facility where they can be cared for and protected from hurting themselves. Fourthly, we of the Spuffy following DO "move on," We move on with Buffy and Spike while they leave Angel sitting and brooding on the side of the road. And finally, you are confusing the Spuffy relationship as "dead," when it has, in fact, moved onto a higher plane of existence, taking its place beside the great and passionate loves of history. There can be only one truth, and that truth is spelled S-P-U-F-F-Y.

Now those are sour grapes if I ever did see em!...so sad and so utterly delusional...still so caught up with Willie the Wanker...really WA its time to move on...Spuffy is dead Long live Bangel
fat stinkin nooo! LOL I'm no spuffy and i never believed that Buffy actually loved Spike. Long live bangel!!!lol

it is so obvious that buffy was so in love with spike.
i mean first of all itwas so obvious that he was so inlove with her.
i think that when they had the scene in the 6th season where he raped her or whatever.
that was ridiculous/
like seriously.
he would never do that to her. i thought it was dumb.

spike and buffy loved each other, bbuffy was just afraid of what everyone would think, now its too late.

I think he loved her even when he attempted to rape her. Season six was just showing how far down all the characters could sink. And besides, he didn't have a soul then, and he might not have done it otherwise. But in the real world, people do really, really stupid things. I'm not saying that makes it OK, or that Spike should be easily forgiven, but everyone (mostly) deserves redemption if they truly want it and I don't think him doing that means he doesn't truly love Buffy.

I also think Buffy loved him, whether IN LOVE or just love, who knows.

Sorry, Bangel fans, but it's not like Buffy can't love more than one guy in her life. And it doesn't mean she wouldn't later be in love with Angel again.

I'm a bona fide Bangel fan and that will never change but...yeah, she loved him. It's impossible to say she didn't. I think Buffy loved him with all her heart. She just didn't show it as well as she did with Angel. She wouldn't have let Spike do those things to her if deep down there was something inside her that could have mader her stop him. And if there was it was just deep DEEP down.

Even if the majority thinks so, I don't think that Buffy had true feeings (in particular, love) for Spike. As she stated in one episode of season 7, she will never love anything in this world as much as she loved Angel. Angel was her true love, and she can be with any guy that wouldn't be the same. Okay, she had Riley right after breaking up with Angel - but did she have another choice? If one knows that she will never be able to live her life with the one she loves the most, she has no other choices left but try to find and live with another guy. Nobody wants to be lonely, everybody wants a partner. Many marriages are based on the relationship of two people actually liking each other but not being in love. They are together because they don't want to be alone. And there is no more reason behind it. Though the relationship bw. Buffy and Spike is a bit more complicated. When her friends get her back from heaven, the only person around who could actually understand her feelings and what had happened to her was Spike. He supported her in some way by this. This kinde special bond can be in motion here on the one hand. Then on the other, in season six, she met again with Riley, who had a wife then. She lost her post - Angel boyfriend as well. And a young woman just needs a man by her side, even if she is as 'invincible' as Buffy. And if she knows that there really is a man who is fond of her, she can't help being involved with him. The reason is: she needs to be reminded of the fact that she is a woman. She needs comforts from a man. By the end, maybe she felt pity for Spike. But I think, that is all. Buffy's sentences about Angel in season seven pierced through my heart. I just cannot forget about them, I just cannot ignore them...

I don't know if I can agree about a woman needing a man. I think it was more a person needing to feel something rather than the cold.

But I am LOVING the Bangle love😀...keep it up! these Spuffies need to see whats what!

(Yes I am talking to you WA)

How come most Bangels say Buffy didn't love Spike? Buffy loved him. She said herself in season 7, "Why does everyone think I'm still in love with Spike?" That means she loved him at some point. And I also think that when she said she loves him in Chosen, she means it. Just because you are so wrapped up in Bangel love doesn't mean you should ignore the facts when they are right there.

Edit: Angel might be her first love and she'll always have a spot in her heart for him but people move on. GET OVER IT KEAONITE!!!! :fighting1

You are seriously loving that smiley! but I kinda agree. KINDA..I think she felt for him but nowhere near the level she did and continues to feel for Angel.

I agree with VG!

We Spuffies don't say Bangel wasn't twu wuv. We think Angel was her first love, but that she then moved on to an adult love, as most of us eventually do. Why can't she just have loved both of them?

Maybe Joss will give us that perfect dream world from the comics in which she does love both of them! Then, we won't have to fight anymore. 🙂

I mean, how can you ignore the facts? Buffy says twice - once to Willow and once to Spike - that she was in love with him. She wasn't shy about insisting that she didn't or couldn't love him when that was the case, so why would she be shy when she decided that she did love him?

no one forgets their first love, no one experiences the same kind of love as they did the first time. Buffy did love Angel, i'll admit that...she also loved Riley and Spike. She must have loved him at some point during S6 as she says so in the quote VG posted about, which takes place in the S7 ep 'First Date', i think. Buffy's love for Spike was genuine, i believe, he was the one person she could turn to and the one person she knew would always have her back. i admit that her love might not be as strong as it was for Angel, that love was innocent and pure and the 'first love' for both of them, but it was different and newer and more mature, but she did love him, she said so herself. Twice!

I will never agree that she loved him in season 6, it just won't happen but in the latter es of 7 yeah she wuvved him:tongue:

then how come she says to Willow and Xander 'Why does everyone believe I'm still in love with Spike?' they weren't together at this point in S7, in fact they hadn't ben together at this point since 'As You Were' so she wasn't referring to something that happened in S7.

and why would she admit to being in love with him if she wasn't? if she wasn't in love with him, she would have said something like 'Why does everyone think I'm still hung up/attracted to Spike?'
