Did Giles Know Wesley was Working For Angel?

In Five by Five, Giles calls Angel about Faith waking up from her coma and Wesley says Giles should called him first, but how would Giles even know Wesley was working with Angel?
 
That's a good point. At that time, neither one was a Watcher, and they didn't strike me as pen pals. Of course, Buffy might've mentioned it at some time. She would have been more likely to keep in touch with Angel, and the subject could possibly have come up between the anguished sight and tortured silences.
 
Perhaps Giles didn't know that Wes became a "rogue demon hunter" so Wes may have assumed that Giles would have contacted him due to the fact Faith was officially his charge.

No idea, just a possibility.
 
I dunno, the two demon fighting crew did seem to have some contact throughout series 1, maybe wesley assumed that giles would have heard from someone that he was working with angel
 
Giles may have assumed Wesley had gone back to England after Buffy quit the counsil. When the elite team showed up to take Faith away, it was obvious that the counsil knew Faith had woken up so to call Wesley directly he may have figured he would get a snooty response saying how he already knows considering he's still a member. If Giles knew that Wesley had been fired and was still in the area, maybe he would have tried to give him a heads up. Although Buffy didn't even have time to let Angel know which is probably the first person the Sunnydale gang would have contacted anyways.
 
I think that Buffy told Giles that Wes was working for Angel. And he should have known by season 5 when Angel called him to ask for help. And didn't Fred call in season 7 on Buffy? Maybe she told Buffy who was working with her and Angel and then Buffy reported to Giles?
 
I'm pretty sure that Giles couldn't care less who Wesley was working for after the first Faith debacle! Anyway, Giles (or Buffy) would have contacted Angel if he knew Faith had gone to LA. I thought that it was Angel who got in contact with Gles, not the other way round. Angel thought Faith was in a coma, and so when he found out she wasn't he called the Scoobies.
