So Angel and Eve do the horizontal mambo in "Life of the Party" and Angel doesn't go all serial killer??? What the...

Unless he only goes fangy when he's with a woman that he loves and it completes his happiness circuit...so he can have sex with someone he doesn't love and remain Angel, but as soon as he loves her, he turns to Angelus.

Is anyone else shaking their heads? Any explanations?

Oh yeah, whooohooo, I just hit 100 posts!

Yeah, it's only when he experiences "ultimate happiness" that he goes fangy. Eve was a problem that he couldn't resist. He was under a slight spell with that, so he wasn't happy...he was...needing.

And as you may have noticed, having sex doesn't mean ultimate happiness. 'Cause Angel did the 'horizontal mambo' back in s2 with Darla, remember?

Hmm, another aspect of the curse that will keep Angel miserable! He can have sex with someone he doesn't love, which may cause some guilt (probably, knowing Angel), but if he actually loves someone he can't, lest he get fangy...very devious!

Is the spell a mitigating factor? Would being under a spell let Angel have sex with Buffy and not turn him evil?

Eh, possible. But i'm sure they won't go into something like that. The only sex he should be having with Buffy, should be resulting in ultimate happiness.

I can't believe that nobody has tried to remove that part of the curse.
Over the past years it seems they have been able to beat everything with every kind of hocus-pocus under the sun..........and yet - nobody's ever tried to make it so Angel could be truely happy.

If that were me - I'd drop all other projects and get to work on that one!

WR&H certinally have that sort of thing at their disposal........

Last time Willow re-cursed him, she should've left that hapiness-clause out, it was not very believable, but Joss probably didn't want to lose it, cause then he would have to have Buffy and Angel hang out.

I imagine that part of the curse is un-breakable. I'm sure the gypsy knew that there were powerful witches out there that could possibly do that for him...so she made some kind of stipulation. You can't have one without the other.

Lol, Spike can have one without the other.

Besides I'm pretty sure that if Willow can change the rules of the Cavemen who created the slayer, one puny gypsy shouldn't matter!

Yeah, it would be interesting to see what kind of forces the gang could marshall on this project, only to find that a 19th century "swamp witch" cast an unbreakable spell...you could have them find out some type of nefarious info on the way that could play into the continuity of the year's storylines!

BTW, Ninjalizer, love your signature...Whose Line is a real hoot!
