Did Joyce know?

I don't think so. Joyce seemed to like being blissfully unaware of Buffy's slayer life. If she did know I'd imagine she would have freaked out and tried to protect Buffy be keeping a tight leash on her.

Joyce found out about Buffy's first death in 'Faith, Hope And Tricks' when Buffy blurted out that you don't get a new slayer until the old slayer dies...when she's in the kitchen and Faith is scarfing her fries. 🙂

Joyce put two and two together pretty darn fast (although I'm not sure if she knew about Kendra in the mean time, or if Buffy ever told her) and freaked a little, but otherwise she reacted pretty well.

The second time Buffy died, Joyce was way too dead to notice- but, presuming that Joyce went to heaven when she died, and that Buffy was in that same heaven when she bought it, she might've realised that her daughter had died again...at least for a little bit.

I was gonna make the same heaven comment :)
About the first death, thetopher covered it.

About the second, harder to say because we know that heaven exist, meaning that Joyce would pretty undoubtedly be there. But Buffy doesn't mention her mother being there, and if she had known her mom was there I think she would have said something to Dawn along the lines of "Mom was there and she was happy and at peace". So it is possible that neither was aware of the presence of the other.

There's a potentially "yes and no" answer here. If you mean, did Joyce know about Buffy's death at the time, or immediately thereafter, that it happened in Season 1, then, obviously, she didn't, since she had no idea what the Slayer was, or what Buffy's duties involved. There was something at the end of Season 2 when Buffy asked Joyce about washing blood out of her clothes, and why she had never questioned it. If you mean, did she EVER find out, then, yes, she did, but not until a couple of years after the fact.

True to life in general, isn't there a ruling that stops children telling their parents these minor sort of things, like I'm a vampire slayer, but I only died once.
Yet if the child finds out about the parent that code of silence is rebuked, as in the exclamed, 'you did it TWICE!'

Besides, Buffy did talk about dimensions. If there are hell dimensions, why not heaven ones?

But even if they were together, Buffy's memories are vague - could be the trauma of being ripped out of heaven was too much for her to remember.
