Did Lorne know?

So in A Whole in the World, Lorne hears Eve sing and tells her that her future isn't too bright, now it's been ages since i watched Angel so if there's even more proof that he can see people's future, that helps, but assuming this means he can see the future, is it possible that ever since season 1 when Lindsey used to sing in Caritas, Lorne knew he would end up murdering him?

We all assume the "I've heard you sing" line in Not Fade Away means that Lorne either knows Lindsey would turn traitor or that he was too tempted by power that he'd always be on whichever side's strongest, but could it maybe mean Lorne know that no matter what, even if he didn't want to do it, Lindsey's life was about to end and it would be Lorne and his gun that was going to end it?

Season 2...however we can assume that Lindsey went to Caritas before Angel even arrived in LA.

On the note of whether Lorne knew he would ill Lindsey, honestly I like to believe that he did.
Not because he got some sadistic pleasure or anything, but because he knew that certain things are inevitable, there is no point in fighting it, so just live in the now, be yourself because at the end of the day, thats all you can hope to be.

That or he actually hated Lindsey as much as I did, so didn't mind that he would 'off' the Tiny Texan!
 
I don't think Lorne knew way back then that he would end up killing Lindsey. I think he knew that Lindsey would always be one of those who flip flops on the side with more power, and I think he knew this from the get go, which is why he understood why Angel could never trust Lindsey to stay on their side.
 
I thought that it was said, or at least implied somewhere fairly early on, that Lorne could sense someone's immediate future, as in a few weeks or months at best, not everything that they would ever do. Otherwise, Angel wouldn't have had to sing for him more than the one time.

Exactly... I thought this, too. Which is why I also thought he didn't know that Fred was going to DIE.
I always thought Lorne could see people's path, not their future. He can see where they are heading, at the time they sing. Which is why people go to him for advice. If they couldn't change that path, or walk a new one, it would be pointless. Lorne never took a fatalistic approach to it until he told Fred to run away from her parents - and look how that turned out. So, no, I don't think Lorne can "see the future" per se. He can work out the future that is most likely at that point in time for that person.

So, anyway, my interpretation of the "I've heard you sing" is a little different. I like the tragedy of thinking that Lorne meant he knew that Lindsey could change, but that it was too late. But, of course, that's purely speculative. It just gives the whole scene more weight on both sides for me, and also helps justify why Lorne is quite so depressed about the whole thing.
 
Very good points, WA and Lindsey.... I thought the same thing; that he could see enough to get them on the right path and that was it. Otherwise he would have known there was no way they could save Fred in "A Hole In The World" as well...
