Did The Fear Demon predict the later events in season 7?

Dawn and the rest of the gang abandoned Buffy

Do you think the Fear Demon in "Fear Itself" predicited that?
 
I certainly believe a lot of things were foreshadowed by Joss and the staff years earlier. That little line just might have been foreshadowing season 7's events, but I always thought of it as foreshadowing the end of season 4, with the gang splitting up slowly, culminating in "The Yoko Factor".
 
I doubt it, I think it just played on her fears. There nothing to really indicate he could see into the future. But since he had some mind-reading skills, he might have seen that not only did Buffy fear the gang splitting up, from what he read in Buffy's head, how the scoobies interacted those days, he might have thought it was likely to happen.

So, just a good guesser at the most, no forseeing is my guess.

I agree... I love the foreshadowing in the show. After Season 3 it got to the point where I was dissecting everything on each episode going "Oooh, what if this means _____?"
I don't think the fear demon was talking about Season 7, though, but the end of the season, like [MENTION=11693]Living Dead Boy[/MENTION] said.
 
I want to add that I could imagine that the writers put it in there, or realized after writing it, that it was forshadowing in one way or another(they might just have planned on splitting the group up some time), but I don't think they meant that the Fear Demon could see the future.
 
I don't think so. Joss planned for the show to end at Season 5, he didn't plan for anything further until UPN picked up the show. I think it's just fans grasping at straws, the show wasn't that well thought out (look at Giles in season 6 and 7)

Is Giles really a good example though? Even if Joss wanted to explore Giles more I'm sure he could have, but that wouldn't change the fact that Anthony wanted to live in London.
 
As Hale Caesar said I don't really think that Joss or anyone else thought about the storyline which goes longer than to the next season. And thats logic, because they never really knew before if there is a next season because the TV-rates had never been the way 20th Fox wished they would be.

Thank you. I do agree that Joss probably wasn't thinking that far ahead. But I'm sure he planned to have Buffy abandoned somewhere down the line. It does apply to the Yoko Factor so maybe the demon was just predicting that. I really just took it as a joke though, like his last pathetic attempt to frighten her...even though the jig was clearly up.
